MundusMap  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 0.24
by: QuinicAcid [More]
A simple add on that shows the location of every Mundus Stone (the ones that give you the boon buff) in all of Tamriel.

Stones are shown as red marker on the map. Markers can be toggled off in settings once you found the buff you want. Markers show up on top of everything on the map so they are easily found.

The idea behind this addon is simply to find the stone you want, and then turn off the markers once you found it.

English, German, and French (badly) are supported.

More functionality to come in future releases. Current plans are for: compass support, further localization, icon customization, per character settings, easier to see pin options, removal of the CustomMapPins library (as it doesn't seem to be officially supported), and maybe more filter options.

(FYI: Oddly, there currently is no Lord stone in Cyrodiil)

Libraries Used:
LibStub - Seerah
LibAddonMenu - Seerah
CustomMapPins - Shinni

Data Gathering:
http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/
http://www.esohead.com/

People that have made this possible:
Mitsarugi
Garkin
Shinni
Rhadek
Storm Reaver
Skoodat
Harven
v0.24
Updated client version number.

v0.23
Updated the rest of the coordinates and improved settings screen.
Put markers on top of even the waypoints.

v0.22
Updated client version number and some coordinates

v0.21
Updated some German localization (thanks Rhadek)
There was no release 0.15, it was actually 0.20... updated version number

v0.20
Pins are now attached using texture names so that it works in all languages.
Stone information is now more centralized (takes up less memory)
Optimized code (removed redundant code that was redundant)

v0.11
Corrected some stone locations
Improved tool tips
Optimized code (still a lot to be done here)

v0.10
I wanted to get this "version" out in to the public because I think the changes were needed. However, the tooltips are not quite ready (all relevant data is included, just a tiny but ugly). Hopefully I haven't introduced too many new bugs.

Changed Icons To Red
Added stone type filter
Added Tamriel locations
Added Tamriel map toggle

v0.02
Changed ToolTip a little so that it's easier to read Mundus Stone information when near another pin on the map.

Folder missing

I think you need to put all the elements of the addon inside a folder ))

Future Updates

Future updates on this will include adding Shinni's compass points, filtering out stones by type and faction, customizable icons, and possible localization.

Credits

When you use code or libraries from someone else, at least mention author's name in credits. Thank you.
- Seerah's LibStub library
- Seerah's LibAddonMenu-1.0
- Shinni's CustomMapPins.lua
- some copy&paste code from my SkyShards...

I actually did mention you (and Shinni and Mitsarugi) in the description. It was a little tribute line that read: "This add on would not have been possible if not for the work of Mitsarugi, Garkin, and Shinni."

Perhaps it was not strong enough. Sorry about that.

I will put in even more detail on the description page where everything came from. I did not intend to imply that this addon was exclusively, or even majorly, my work. My only intention was to add the Mundus Stone locations to the already excellent map utilities the ESO community has thanks to people like you, Shinni, and Mitsarugi.

If you do not feel what I have put in the description is enough I'm more than willing to add more (perhaps there is a better spot to put it). I truly admire the work you've done so far for the ESO community, and in no way do I want to take away from you the credit you deserve.

I was writing my comment when there was no credits at all. I really do not mind if you use part of my code, just mention your sources.

Anyway if you want good source of Mundus stones' coordinates, use Esohead's map. You will need the following 2 pages:
http://www.esohead.com/map
http://jsonviewer.stack.hu/

Example (Alik'r Desert):
  1. Open Alik'r Desert map - http://www.esohead.com/map#30.2.50.50
  2. Check what is the map code - number right after # in url
  3. Open JSON Viewer, click "Load JSON data" and type http://www.esohead.com/map/data/30.json (number in file name is the map code from before)
  4. Mundus stones has markerId 30, so find text "markerId": 30," and you will get exact ingame coordinates and description
Warning: Spoiler

Speaking from my experience - If you want to add compass points, you will see that coordinates you use are not accurate enough - especially on large maps as Cyrodiil. I recommend using at least 3 decimal numbers in coordinates.

I made sure that the very first time I uploaded this addon that you (and Mitsarugi and Shinni) were mentioned in the description. It was uploaded with only two lines of description:
One line said it was an addon that showed Mundus Stones on the map.
The second line said that this addon would not exist without the work of Mitsarugi, you, and Shinni.

You may have just missed it, which is all the more reason to make that section bigger. =)

I suppose I'm just beating a dead horse now. I feel that no matter how many times I say the credit has always been there you're probably not going to believe me... and I'll just have to live with that.

Anyways... the main reason I wanted for this post was to thank you (so very very much) for showing me jsonviewer.stack and how to use it with esohead. That is a fantastic tool and wish I knew about it before I mapped out the stones the hard way (would have saved me several deaths). Some of the stones were mapped out by friends, though, so I was never too sure of their accuracy. With tools you have shown me, I soon will be more confident about the accuracy of this addon.

This. By putting them in a folder people can install/update them on Minion.

This has already been done. If by chance you got the addon that didn't have the containing folder, you may need to delete the files Minion if Minion does not delete them automatically.

Got it, wiped the files like you suggested. Thanks!

i'm seeing double mundus stones almost everywhere on my map. also it shows them all as already explored, so I dont know which ones i need to visit unless I disable the addon. It's still usefull, i just add a waypoint then disable the addon to see if i have been to it or not.

Yeah... the Mundus Stones that you have already found are shown by the default UI. This addon shows all Mundus Stones, found or not. It's a "bug" of sorts.

Well, something I just have not addressed. Working on a fix (of sorts) for it.
