This addon allows you to download pin locations for the HarvestMap addon so you do not have to discover everything yourself.

After installing or updating the addon, execute the following script in "Elder Scrolls Online/live/AddOns/HarvestMapData":

MacOS: right-click on DownloadNewData.command, then choose 'Open'.
Linux: run DownloadNewData.sh
Windows: option 1: double-click on DownloadNewData.bat, or option 2: right-click on DownloadNewData.ps1 and select 'Run with PowerShell'.

Executing either script will upload the locations you discovered to our server, where your locations are merged with those discovered by all other players. The server will then send the combined data back to you.

Updating this addon will delete the downloaded data. So you must run the script again when you update this addon.

I added the merge script again and setup a new server. Merging your data should work again.

3.15.1
The HarvestMap-Data addon no longer comes with a script to upload/download data. Instead, the data is directly included in the addon.

My internet provider switched to DualStack-Lite. As a result I do not have a public ipv4 anymore and can no longer host the server for exchanging HarvestMap data.
The data included in the addon is from 2021-06-15 and includes pin locations for Blackwood.
As there is no longer the option to upload your data, the provided data will become outdated soon. Specifically, there will be no data for future DLC zones.

At this time, I still need to set the proper permissions using the u+x line. Once I did that and ran it, worked fine.

Change it from
name=Harvest${i}_SavedVars
to
name=Harvest${zone}_SavedVars

Now after you change that file give yourself the proper permissions to that file

Open Terminal
Type chmod u+x
Space
Drag your "DownloadNewData.command" file to the terminal
Hit enter
Now your "DownloadNewData.command" file has proper permissions
Run the DownloadNewData.command file like normal

It should look something like below.

One thing I had to do that some might not know when installing is making the DownloadNewData.command file executable. The instructions say to just right-click on the file and click open, but that didn't just work for me. I had to open a terminal and cd to the directory/file and run chmod DownloadNewData.command and then I could right-click and open the file which then opened my terminal and ran the file. Might be helpful to add that for others in case they ran into that issue 1. Use the cd command to navigate to the directory that contains the file. For example, % cd YourScriptDirectory. 2. Enter the chmod command. For example, % chmod YourScriptName.command 3. Right-click on the file and choose open. 4. Your terminal should open and you should see the file execute. Otherwise, great addon and excited to use this!

Seeing the reported issue did multiple tests what you posted is due to being in the wrong area.

The AddOns HarvestMap directory/folder must contain the following:
Folders:
Libs
Main
Modules
Textures
(And the following files.)
DownloadNewData.bat
DownloadNewData.command
DownloadNewData.ps1
DownloadData.sh
Harvestmap,txt
Licence.txt
README.txt

All the folders contain the content they had or what was transferred and OVERWRITTEN.

If not overwritten it potentially WILL NOT WORK.

Hope this helps everyone having issues.

Edit: @Shinni Thank you and other contributors for another great add on. And fixed a typo in my reply.

This doesn't make sense. If all the files from the harvestmap-data (no idea where "3" came into the picture) need to be manually copied into the base harvestmap addon why not have the download new data script do this copy?

Any help appreciated.

Making matters worse, my existing harvestmap data is gone now.
I suspect the batch file does not confirm the ability to retrieve data and save data before it sends & deletes what is on the local machine.

Hopefully this is taken down or fixed soon.

that error only crops up if you have the addon installed or configuered incorrectly, case in point I was able to update my data to add points to necrom and my entire discord server was able to do the same, so the issue be on your end, sorry bud.

I also have problems with updating the harvest pins.
I ran the DownloadNewData.bat and there were no error messages, everything listed as ok with accessing the data and saving it.
But then in game 90% of pins are gone.
I have only 6 provinces that have harvest pins, the rest are completely empty. The provinces which load pins are Grathwood, Reapers March, Malabal Tor, Greenshade, Khenarti's Roost, and Auridon.

I also wanted to note that by picking resources I am able to create new pins.
I have manually repopulated the pins in Vvardnefell this way and I have then tried to run DownloadNewData.bat again to see if my pins will be added.
But after running the script everything reset back; Vvardnefell is again with 0 pins and only the before mentioned 6 provicens have full pins.

Any suggestions where the problems lies? What can I change/try?
