DollyCam Zoom  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.2
by: Mezzamort [More]
Focus pullers and dolly grips!

This utility allows you to bind keys for zoom-in and zoom-out in the 1st and 3rd person view.
It works by modifying your camera FOV.

Reset key sets both FOVs back to default.
Speed key increments the speed.

Go to the Controls menu to map the keys in the DollyCam section.

If you like it, drop some gold on @Zatsukun

Still working on the crane shot.

Sadly no longer working

Unfortunately, this addon is no longer working. It throws an error on load. While the logic is simple, I don't quite understand the lua enough to diagnose the problem.

I don't know if the author is still around after so many years, I just wanted to thank you. This addon is awesome!
It allowed me to bind on my mouse the FOV slider; this way I can create awesome FOV/ZOOM combinations for any situations.
Last but not least, I noticed FOV setting do impacts on game FPS performance (I've not a low-end PC), so that's one more reason to have a handy slider like this.

Many thanks,
HalfSaw

Post Re: Conflict with ESOLauncher

An update to my previous post, Sorien over on Tamriel Foundry, creator of ESOLauncher has updated ESOLauncher to fix the conflict.

To use Dolly Cam with ESOLauncher you have to edit the settings.ini file that comes with ESOLauncher:

firstpersonfieldofview=0

This edit will disable the FoV adjustments from ESOLauncher, which are largely redundant with patch 1.5.

Post Conflict with ESOLauncher.

I have come across a bit of an issue in regards to compatibility, I don't think there is anything you can do at all on your side, just a heads up for those that use this addon as well as ESOLauncher:
ESOLauncher overrides the firstpersonfieldofview which renders your addon completely broken as the fov distance is reset to the default defined by ESOLauncher.
Here is a link to the forum thread for ESOLauncher and the quoted post I made in regards to the issue:
With the latest patch release (1.5.2) I have had some issues become apparent with ESOLauncher.

I only discovered the issues when I recently came across the addon Dolly Cam which adjusts field of view via hotkey customization, it works wonders for screen-archery!

With standard ESO client, this addon is perfect...

However when the client is run via ESOLauncher, the client repeatedly defaults the firstpersonfieldofview when the hotkeys are pressed.

'Commenting' out, adjusting the number the firstpersonfieldofview line in settings.ini for ESOLauncher does nothing.

Any advice to get around this?

I second this request, it is literally the only thing this brilliant yet simple addon lacks.

Thankfully for myself though, I rarely run around in 1st person view in mmo games, force of habit due to pvp ;p

This addon is just so damn good, makes life much easier for those real close-up shots and those 'awe-inspiring' towering statue shots, etc.

Thank you so much for the addon!
