Miat's CC Tracker  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.48
by: dorrino [More]
Dorinno has kindly allowed me to step in to maintain this valuable addon. I don't expect to add new features but I hope to at least keep it running on new releases.

This add-on requires the separate installation of this library:
  • LibAddonMenu-2.0

Description

This addon displays the crowd control (CC) effects on you in the middle of your screen (by default).

When the addon loads for the first time you will see an icon with the "Unlocked" text above it. You can move it around the screen by clicking and dragging. When you are satisfied with the icon's position - make sure to go into the addon's options and lock it. The icon will disappear. Now the addon is set and ready.

NEW FEATURE!

Shows an icon if you're getting hit by a list of important aoe abilities. The icon works in a similar way to the Negate icon. A priority system for AOEs have been implemented as well. The current priority list is:

  • Fire destruction staff ultimate (Eye->Rage->Storm)
  • Frost destruction staff ultimate (Eye->Rage->Storm)
  • Lightning destruction staff ultimate (Eye->Rage->Storm)
  • Dragonknight' Standard ultimate and its morphs
  • Templar's Nova ultimate and its morphs
  • Vampire bats ultimate and its morphs
  • Veil of Blade nightblade ultimate morph
  • Meteor and its morphs (the dot component)
  • Sleet Storm ultimate and its morphs *NEW*

If you're hit by more than one of the listed AOEs at the same time the icon will show only the highest priority one. Example: you're hit by Eye of Flame and Vampire Bats. The icon will show Eye of Flame.

Note that Negate still has higher priority than any of the AOEs

Since 1.35 this feature should work in eso clients of all languages!

Features:
  • Displays your current CC using icon of the ability that produced the CC, text with the name of the ability and the timer with the amount of time left on this CC.

  • 3 display modes: icon only, text only and both icon and text(default).

  • Tracks and displays 6 types of CC-related effects on you: stun, fear, disorient, silence, stagger and immune.

  • Has CC priority system in place. It goes like this: Stuns->Fears->Disorients->Silence->Stagger->Immune.

For example: If you happen to have a stun, a disorient and a silence on you at the same time, it only shows the stun. When stun expires, it immediately switches to the disorient. When disorient expires - it switches to silence.

  • Has an immune effects tracking system. If an attack on you got immuned (because you had CC immunity or roots/snares immunity) it briefly shows a half-transparent icon of the ability that has been immuned.

  • Has a custom made break free animation for greater visibility of the break free event.

  • Plays a sound when a CC is applied to you.

  • CC text, CC timer and icon border take a preset color, which can be made unique for each type of the CC.

  • Most features are customizable/can be turned off completely.

Known issues:
  • In VERY rare circumstances the icon is still shown even if you're not CC-ed and it won't disappear on its own. A workaround is in the works. In the meanwhile just disable and re-enable the addon from the addon settings if you encounter this problem.

  • Please report anything else out of place in the comments.

Notes:
  • Most NPC-casted abilities in the game have the same icon, that's why this addon provides a set of placeholder icons for those abilities.

  • Immune event does not provide the type of CC that was immuned. That's why all immune pop ups for NPC-casted abilities have the same immune icon and all immune events have the same CC color.

  • Templar Eclipse and its NPC equivalent was intentionally omitted from CC list even though you can break free out of it. The reason being: it still allows you to move around and cast skills and it already has highly noticeable visual and audio cues. In my opinion adding an icon on top of all that will be more of a hindrance than of help.

  • Roots and snares are intentionally omitted as well.

Thanks and shoutouts:
  • Uixtochihuatl, for countless hours of testing and support. Without her this addon would not be possible in the state it is now. Love you.

  • Arcane Council(NA), my pvp guild. For being as awesome as you are. Not going to mention any specific names, because Forza will get jealous

If you like this addon, please check out my other addons Zone Name Alert, Poison Tracker and Innocent Blade of Woe. Thank you!

Permastun bug

Good idea for a cc specific addon! It would be great to show multiple cc to show ZoS in bug report which combinations of stuns result in the permastun bug. Then maybe they will fix it finally. :P

Thanks for you kind words.

I'm sure they know it already. Technical problems, as always

What is more important as far as testing and reporting is concerned is to see if my addon still shows you an icon while you're perma-stunned. If so, then the game never sends a "stop stun" event. If not - it's a purely client problem.

I never experienced perma stuns, so i couldn't really test for that.

edit: Multiple CCs at the same time is unnecessary. The addon shows the most important CC anyways. So if your stun wears off and you'll still stunned - it should show you. And you can safely report it

Thank you for this helping addon.
Any chance to implement a switch for character based settings and account wide (all characters) settings?

Edit:
And please let us choose the sound for the CC event somehow!
The current sound is the same as the ability proc sound of some ability addons (like SRendarr)!
This is somewhat distracting as I alwys wanto to throw my shard that has procced and i'm wondering why it is casting instead of just throwing it

Thank you for the feedback. I'll take a look at account/char settings options.

About the sound. There's the problem with the sounds in this game, as you most certainly know. We have to use the sounds already provided by ZOS. I've spent ~40 min playing all the sounds that are there. And this particular one (no surprise at all) was the best fitting for this event.

I'll gladly add a dropdown with a choice of sounds if you give me the sound IDs of those you'd like to use instead. I couldn't find any other sound i liked besides this one.

stack traceback:
	user:/AddOns/CrowdControlTracker/CrowdControlTracker.lua:2: in function '(main chunk)'
It doesn't show up in my Addon Settings.

Any Ideas?

For some reason it seem like you don't have the required libs in your addon folder.

Make sure you have the folder 'lib' in the folder 'CrowdControlTracker' and the folder 'lib' contains 'LibAddonMenu-2.0' and 'LibStub' folders.

If not please redownload the addon and make sure the subfolders are there.

Instead of using a dropdown with pre-defined sounds just add a slider control to the LAM panel.
Have a look at FCOStarveStop addon
Code:
function FCOStarveStop.buildAddonMenu()
In the function search for "["options_alert_sound"]".

The possible sounds are stored in the variable "FCOStarveStop.sounds" with an index number (which the slider controls set/get functions will set/read and store in the addon settings savedVars).
It is build/filled dynamically upon addon loading from the standard ESO sounds array SOUNDS[].
-> See extra file FCOStarveStopSound.lua, at the bottom line 571

To play the sound just store the chosen sound name in a variable (FCOStarveStop.settings.alertSound) and then play it using
Lua Code:
  1. PlaySound(SOUNDS[FCOStarveStop.sounds[FCOStarveStop.settings.alertSound]])

If you need help send me a PM.

Many thanks
Baertram

I'm not sure what do you mean here. Please try to elaborate.

Area of a zone on the ground?
