Hi,

this is the addon I am going to use for collecting everything small but useful for tanks.

For a starter, it offers a taunt display that does not suffer from the problem that all the taunt displays before game version 2.1.x had - namely that you could only see how long ago you have initiated a taunt and that you had no idea which mob has been taunted for how long.
This add-on makes use of the new version and shows the remaining taunt seconds for each single enemy in color code for quicker reaction. No display means no taunt on the given enemy. Just try it out for the axes. It will make it easier for you to save your resources for precious blocking stamina or damage shield instead of wasting it on the targets "just to make sure" - especially as there is no over-taunting by the same tank anymore.

Note: There is a separate taunt counter that is running 12 seconds i.e. 3 seconds less. No idea what that is good for - might be used for overtaunting check (and thus superfluous currently).

NEW: show untaunted mobs with a red zero - can be turned off in settings

Do you have some screenshots (with explantion?) of what we can expect?

Also do you track class specific skills (those that give tanky buffs)

Thanks for the comment. A screenshot will be provided after my vacation. As for now it is displaying taunt times only as in the description. Other stuff will be added if the API supports it. Like a warning if only x blocks are possible.

The 12 second timer for taunting is probally the overtaunt timer. but that can still happen.

If you have 2 people taunting the boss the 2nd person trying to apply the taunt will still overtaunt the boss. Overtaunt protection will only happen between your own taunts.

hey....
solch addon hab ich bisher immer gesucht. Leider bekomm ich es anscheinend nicht richtig installiert. Es wird als addon angezeigt, aber es taucht nicht unter den setup-einstellungen zum Addon auf. Kann es also nicht konfigurieren. Und ne Anzeige im Spiel hab ich auch nicht. Leider

Installiert über Minion.

Hi, es gibt bisher keine Einstellungen für das addon, also findest du auch keine. Einfach spotten, dann taucht im Fadenkreuz eine Zahl auf mit Countdown.

ok... Danke für die Info. Werd es ausprobieren.

EDIT:

so habs ausprobiert, aber im Fadenkreuz wird mir keine Zahl angezeigt.

Timer Font Size

Is there a way to adjust how big the timer numbers are? If not, is there any way you could make an option for adjusting the font size of the timer? I play pretty far from my screen, so it's hard to see the little numbers. Thanks so much!

I will have to check the font details in the current library. It is not as easy as in say Word to change the font size by specifying a size. You have to select certains fonts thar have a specific size. Let's see whether the interface changed there.

I also noticed that the size of the counter was very small (I'm using a 4K monitor) and found that I could change the size by adding 3 local variables at the beginning of your code:

local FONT = "EsoUI/Common/Fonts/univers67.otf"
local FONT_SIZE = 25 -- change this value to adjust font size
local FONT_OUTLINE = "none"

and then changing line 59 from:
TankControlCounter:SetFont(FONT_NORMAL)
to:
TankControlCounter:SetFont(FONT .. "|" .. FONT_SIZE .. "|" .. FONT_OUTLINE)

I can tell you what its good for.
The attached debuff when taunting an enemy is Major Fracture/Major Breach debuff. That only lasts 12Seconds. Any chance to change the taunt timer to that value? =)

Is this working for you? In my case, there is only a red 0 in the crosshair.

If it doesnt work in other languages than english pls try:
change line
if (buffName == "Taunt") then
to
if (abilityId == 38541) then
works like a charm in German now.
