My Collection: Customizable Set Tracker

This is still an early release, if there is any issue notify me.
Also please provide feedback in comment, especially if you have ideas not listed in the planned features.

An addon to track set items already aquired, in costumizable set type, armor type and trait.

Dependencies:Optional Dependencies:
Usage:
  • "/mycollection" command
  • Shortcut option which can be set under General/My Collection
  • Top menu bar button

Features:
  • Add new set to track:
    • Set selection
    • Armor Type selection
    • Ordering number for sorting purpose
  • Ability to set trait filter by item (Default: any trait)
  • Track equipment set items:
    • Characters bag and worn (saved between character switch by CharacterId, so no rename character issue)
    • Bank
Planned Features:
  • Show where items are in tooltip (Currently I recommend using Inventory Insights, as its tooltip appear on the items)
  • Notify when anyone in the group get a tracked drop (and its not bound)
  • Show wrong trait items as "almost have it" some way (maybe with colored borders)
  • Be able to track doubled items (ring / one handed weapons) in one set track
  • Be able to track multiple traits (connecting to doubled items, as multiple kind of same item)
  • Settings menu for debug on/off, default armor/trait types etc.
  • Show only slots exists by category (Monster, Maelstrom, etc.)
  • Grouping meta sets (Master, Maelstrom, etc.)
  • Completition filter currently counts now how many item you have, and won't take into consideration maximum number of item by category
  • Category filter (Monster, Trial, etc.)
  • DLC filter (maybe)
  • Search box instead of built in combo box for set selection, maybe multi leveled one for categories
  • ... and more if I'll have other ideas, or get from the community

The "almost have it" as colored borders (thinking maybe green if correct trait, and yellow if not correct) can be done fast as everything is in place for it, I just need to look into how to draw rectangles with the ZoS UI Api.

The double tracked item in one set is more tricky, as currently the itemTypeId (which is a built in ZoS Id) of types has to be unique in the tracker collection, this has to be reworked into an other data structure. I'm planning to do this rework together with the implementation of the capability of meta sets like "Master" and "Maelstrom", as that also would require a great amount of change, and there is no reason to do it two times.

As all of my manager affinity colleges are on holidays I have to handle all the bull**** they do usually, so I can work freely on the software architecture, so I'm a bit overburdened now, but next week I'll free up again partially, and I can return to the game and to the addon

By then I'll see in these comments which parts are more sought, and I can focus on those first.

Chest not yet, as I don't have any, but plan to add it really soon.
The tracking is in 2 part:
  1. Collection (the sets you want to track): this one is fully account-wise
  2. Inventory (the items you have): this one is account-wise too, but as with every other Item tracker addon, it requires to log in at least once with a character as it can only track its bag and worn items when you are on that character, but its saved after that (if you didn't crashed as saving happens in logout).

Thanks a lot, I'll check on them!
I also noticed some strange thing, mostly with weapons, as I made sure to depend on every built-in ZOS Constants, and the weapons are stored in a strange way... (4 state: OneHand, TwoHand, MainHand, OffHand... which should be 2 separate category each with 2 state)

About your question, yes, weapons should appear in all of them, as they don't have armorType (which is also a Zos built in Constant with 4 state: None, Light, Medium, Heavy).

EDIT: Checked it with the Dragonguard Elite Bow, and as I feared, for me it shows correctly, which returnes to the original issue of strange saving of a few item because of the constants. There was a fundamental change in the item track saving (as it has a bug in zos, so I had to rework it), if you used it before the patch there could be data migration problem.
What you can do is open the savedvariables folder and open MyCollection.lua (the save file) when you aren't logged in on any character. Then delete the "MyCollection_Inventory" section, save and close. Ofc it will require to log in with every character again at least once to have every item tracked, but if you only delete this section, you won't lose the already tracked set configurations. (If you delete the file you'll have to set your tracks again).

Please notify me in PM or comment if you tried it, if any problem occure I'll gladly look into it deeply (most likely I'll need your MyCollection.lua saved variable file in that case so I can look into what went wrong.

I'm working in C# .NET, so not very fond of script languages, especially dynamic typed

Does this addon not track what is stored in player storage (i.e. chests)? And does it track account-wide or only per character?

I like your concept

I have been trying your addon out and found a few decrepancies.
