X4D Vendors

A LibStub-compatible Add-on that interacts with Vendors and Fences, performing Laundering and Sales on your behalf.

Features
  • Options to Auto-Sell/Launder Items by Pattern Matching (pattern matching is identical to 'Bank Ignore List')
  • Tracks Money In, Money Out, and reports results of Auto-Sell/Launder (if any)

Planned
  • 'Vendor Action' Options by Item Type, configured similar to Bank Addon (i.e. via drop-downs.)
  • Option to Auto-Repair Equipped/All/None
  • Integration with Map to show previously visited vendor locations.
  • Method filtering based on vendor inventory.

Installation

First, make sure you have the latest X4D Core installed.

As with most Addons, simply open the Archive and copy the contents into "%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\Addons\" folder.

If ESO is already running, execute /reloadui command.

Change Log

To see version history, including 'vNext' (soon to be published) changes, view the README on Github.

I want to sell armor/weapons, but only certain ones, and if I sell everything that's going to be an issue. So far I've tried different variables such as ITEMTYPE_WEAPON bow which does not work. Is there anyway to sell, for example, a chest piece of light armor? If not then what would the command be to sell a general make of armor because my main character uses mostly light armor, except for the chest and legs which are heavy.

Also, on a separate issue, I typed in RARE in the keep box...well there went a bunch of rare armor and weapons. What can I do to get around this? Also is there an easy way to get a list of commands, because this addon seems to be very useful, but seems somewhat crippled by lack of information on the list of usable variables.

Not in terms of game API, I can always recheck, but it's treated as a flag on any item (consider that an Item can be laundered, and so the game does not have an "item type" for "stolen".

There is an option to auto-launder items which are valued at 0G, you may try disabling it. It is a Yes/No option tucked underneath the patterns matching input boxes.

If by "those items" you're referring to stolen items, you can prevent their sale/launder by entering "STOLEN" into the "Ignore List". It should appear on its own line, in all capital letters, and regardless of any other setting it will have the effect of not selling nor laundering stolen goods (the only two actions the Vendors module will perform on your behalf.)

If there's a bug I will look for it, but it would help to know if behavior changes when the option is changed. perhaps I should change the default to disable it.

I just wish I could configure the thing to not launder those items while still protecting me from auto-selling things I want to keep.

FIXED-

I've discovered the problem, I need to finish testing other changes before releasing the fix (mostly debugging helpers and optimizations.)

I'm waiting on ESOUI staff to approve uploads, as soon as they're up you can download the fixed version, let me know if there are any other issues on your end.

Thanks!

Launder vs Sell Stolen

Hi again Wilson, I'm having trouble again with selling vs. laundering stolen items again with your latest updates. I do *NOT* have the "stolen" tag in "For Keeps" (removed it per our earlier discussion when you first released) but the add-on now keeps laundering everything I steal. I'm trying to get the achievement for fencing, and it's not working out too well because all the items keep getting laundered rather than sold (while being flagged as "stolen").

What am I doing wrong (this time)? :P

Re: Working As intended- Re: Stolen loot automatically laundered!

Thank you, that really helped and the standard configuration makes sense. Now I know how to configure it. I'll go steal some things in order to check the behavior.
Maybe you should add this text you posted here as a help popup. Also there's no pulldown-menu for stolen junk/not junk items (this might be easier for users to understand and configure) - do you think you could add this?

BTW: Great tools - especially the auto-seller and the auto-in-bank-dropper is extremely useful.

Kisses, Anana

It would be fine to automatically *sell* the stolen trash at the fence, of course. But this way, all stolen items are laundered and can be sold at a standard vendor afterwards for zero profit in the end...
Did anybody have the same effect and might be able to give a hint what the problem might be?
Thanks, Anana

additional info: I installed the full X4D package, allinone, 20150505.
This is expected behavior, if you check the "For Keeps" pattern list you will see the token "STOLEN". Remove it to stop laundering stolen items.

If you wish to sell (not launder) stolen items, put the "STOLEN" token into the "For Sale" pattern list.

The default behavior is a zero-sum default (where no items are lost, and any lost money can be reclaimed by selling off the laundered goods.) Once users understand how the patterns work they can change it to sell stolen loot (instead of launder.) The reason this is not the default is to avoid a scenario where something a user wanted was sold to a fence and is now permanently gone (there is no buyback tab on Fences.)

I always have to opt for the lesser of two evils when choosing defaults.

That said..

The "all item types" setting is actually just a helper, when you change that option it resets "All" item type dropdowns to whatever you select.

There are tooltips for most (all?) options, if they aren't clear let me know so I can adjust them. I try to explain behavior in tooltips, but some times I manage to make a tooltip more confusing than it is helpful.

Hope that helps!

Stolen loot automatically laundered!

Hi there.
I'm not sure whether I misconfigured some part of this addon, but if I visit a fence, all of my stolen loot (including all the trash) is automatically laundered. In the settings of X4D vendors *all* is set to "leave alone", but still it launders.
