Description
This addon reactivates the mini map from ZOS. Thus the mini map does not do less, but also not more than the built-in world map, because it is the built-in world map.

No artificial synchronization of (custom) pins between mini map and world map. All kind of pins are supported by design.
But also no border pins or rotation mode and such features. My mini map is intended to be lightweight and fast.
  • Includes world map performance tweaks, which can be disabled for performance comparison.
    The tweaks changing the pin rendering to utilize the CPU up to a framerate of 75 only. Seeing the pins rendered over time is not a sign of overload of this addon, but a compensation of others.
  • Conflicts with other mini maps can be expected. Therefore the mini map can be disabled to use the tweaks only.
  • I do not recommend to use the AUI mini map module at the same time as mine.
  • Gamepad support, but limited due to lines in ZOS source code, they call a "total hack" themself:
    Positioning and resizing in keyboard mode only.
  • The window is resizable via mouse. (this code is written by ZOS, not me)

If you think you need a full-featured mini map try the MiniMap by Fyrakin.

@Shinni did a great job creating a plug-in for a Circular Votan's Mini Map.
And if you want to show group pins in different colors and/or icons, such as showing a different color for dead players, you may want to use Votan's Group Pins.

Providing a mini map can be an unthankful job. I guess Fyrakin could sing a song or two. Therefore I can't resist to say:
The addon works well for me. Otherwise I would not have released it. If you think you have performance problems due to this addon, help tracking down or stop using.
Frame freezes are most likely coming from an addon providing a lot of pins without taking care about creating even a simple pin takes some time multiplied by hundreds.
In this case the author of that addon can make it more mini map friendly, only.

Remarks
  • There are key-bindings to toggle the mini map on/off. For technical reasons the toggle while at siege weapons needs its own key-binding. But you can re-use the same key.
  • If you feel dissatisfied with the second main menu entry for "Addons", take a look at Harven's AS to LAM adapter.
  • In order to move or resize the window, you need to go to the mouse-cursor mode. You can do this by pressing the key-bind for mouse-cursor mode, which is "." (dot) by default. Or you press "Enter" as if you want to start chatting.
    Once you have the mouse pointer you can drag the window with the title-bar and bottom-bar. Or resize it using the border. The mouse pointer will change. Like in Windows. (And I guess MAC, too )

- Customize pin scaling
- Try to enable tooltips: Update: Found a real, real hacky way. Gamepad mode is wonky. One has really have to think about going this way.

I just realized that this addon puts another entry under settings called "Add-Ons" and the settings are in there. That's confusing. I now have Settings > Addons and also Settings > Add-Ons. That's odd but no biggie I guess!
You need this addon to get them together

Hi. Nice addon. I just installed this and it appears to be working. However, when I go to settings > addons I do not see this listed so I have no options? Is this working as intended? From the screenshots it looks like there are supposed to be options. Otherwise, everything seems to be working.

Switch Level buttons is non-functional
tested without any addons in elden root
also this buttons randomly dissapear if you trying to move map by cursor

also can you pls make them smaller

RFE: all POI toggle

I'm not precisely sure what the bug was that was fixed in 1.4.9, However I found a wayshrine I hadn't unlocked while that bug was present.

I would like the option to toggle that bug on and off (without having to switch versions:- /reloadui would be fine)

The main map scale is perfect at that zoom level, but in the mini map they are even smaller.
I found "unitPinScaleLimit" set that to mac 2 but that just makes your arrow larger.
Still looking for the code that handles the pins, and hope find a scale factor I can tweak.

But if ya could add it as a slider in the UI, that'd be sweet.

I dont know how this happens.


i have a key for hide minimap - and this works great until last update.... key not working anymore.



EDIT: key works again since i change the char and back.....

EDIT 2: again not working... will switch back to 1.4.9 or 1.4.8 and test it.

EDIT 3: installed version 1.4.9 and until now no problems - key works fine

EDIT 4: works without any problems 1.4.9

Update: It seems to happen when I have minimap hidden normally but visible when mounted. If I have it already on then mount/dismount it doesn't happen.

I've been having a strange issue that I *think* is related to VMM or a library it uses; at least I can reproduce it with only VMM loaded. I also didn't see any recent posts reporting anything like this.

I began noticing that when I first ran to a wayshrine and used it, when I selected another wayshrine to port to, it wanted to charge me like I just opened my map and clicked on a wayshrine. If I close this dialog then open the map again it works normally.

I'm able to reproduce the problem by mounting, dismounting, then opening the wayshrine.

I narrowed down the addons until only VMM was left and I am able to reproduce this problem. I cannot reproduce this if all other addons are loaded but not VMM.

Here is an example. I am at the wayshrine in Wayrest. I mounted, dismounted, then clicked on the wayshrine. As you can see, when I select another wayshrine it wants to charge. If I do select to port then it begins the porting animation just like I opened the map and clicked. Thank you for your help!

Question Error at crafting station, when deconstructing:

Which version did you revert to? I'm sure I already tried earlier versions with no success at getting rid of this "LB/RB SWITCH LEVEL" thing.

EDIT: Yes. I just went back and confirmed that trying the last 4-5 versions before the current one don't remove this UI element. I think maybe you were testing it in Keyboard+Mouse mode.

And you say it isn't problem caused by Zenimax, but I think you are wrong. This "Switch Level" thing was recently introduced to the Gamepad UI, and it is displayed under the map in the world map scene. I think Votan's addon is compositing his minimap from this scene and is accidentally lifting the new UI element during minimap construction.

How do we revert to previous version? I use Minion & it auto updates.
