Are you fed up of having to use them pesky portals to travel to Eyevea and the Earth Forge?
Well no more!

GuildShrines adds the guild wayshrines onto the World Map for both the Fighters Guild and Mages Guild.

If Eyevea and the Earth Forge have been previously visited, the wayshrines can be used to travel into the Guild areas!

Known Issues:
The option to travel to unknown wayshrines appears using the gamepad UI but obviously doesn't work.

Note:
You must have interacted with the wayshrine in each guild location at least once to unlock them.
You can only travel to the Eyevea and the Earth Forge wayshrines from another wayshrine, you cannot recall directly or jump to other players that are already there.


Additional Settings
  • Allows unknown wayshrines, houses, dungeons and trials to be displayed on the map (off by default but can be enabled in settings)
  • Allows unowned houses on the world map to be hidden

I've updated with a fix.
Please note that if you're using a version of BeamMeUp 2.3.0 or greater, it will stop you from doing the search if unknown wayshrines are enabled in GuildShrines. To bypass this, you would have to remove the following code block from BeaamMeUp\core\List.lua (lines 50-57):

Hey, I took a look at BeamMeUp (I don't personally use it) and turning off displaying unknown wayshrines in the settings menu will fix this. It looks like the latest version has even been updated to notify this compatibility issue as well

It's caused by the way I handled unknown wayshrines by just making the game think they're known so they show on the map (BeamMeUp is checking for unknowns which is going to conflict here)

I can actually make a change to handle this better by using the point of interests instead for the zone maps. The reason I didn't, is because they don't show on the world map which means if you're showing unknown wayshrines, you can see them easily from the map overview

In hindsight, my addon shouldn't be touching any of this but it was how I did it at the time. I probably should've just added two map pins for Eyevea and the Earth Forge

I think I'll make a compatibility fix when I have the time

Edit:
I looked it up to confirm because it's been many many years since I did the Mages Guild questline. I completely forgot that it was back in Tamriel!

I'll update it to use the location of the little island on the PTS as well as adding a check to see if Accurate World Map is being used to prevent updating the wayshrine positions if that addon is installed.

Do you know which addon it was? I'm happy to install it myself and see if I can make a dependency change to handle any issues.

I noticed that it does display on the Reach map for me when I'm inside the Earth Forge.

It probably shouldn't as it's not actually in the zone (despite visually appearing in the zone on the Tamriel map).

I could make it so it's visible here but I worry it would it could be confusing :s

As far as I know it is just South-East of High Isle https://esomap.uesp.net/ and it was not removed but I only spent a few hours on the PTS to test things so I might maybe not recalling correctly.

Hmm, I'm a little confused by what you mean 😢

The only two wayshrines that should be added (hidden by default in ESO) is the wayshrine for Eyevea and the Earth Forge:


To unlock them you do have to interact with each of the wayshrines in the respective zones (use the guild portals to access them as necessary):
Eyevea:


The Earth Forge:


Note that I did shift the Eyevea wayshrine on the Tamriel map in preperation for High Isle (they're actually removing the somewhat hidden Eyevea zone from the Tamriel map to put High Isle there...)

Is your issue something else?
It might be there's a bug (I haven't been able to reproduce it in my game) or that there's an addon conflict.

I'm happy to look into any addons that might be causing an issue if that is the case!

Are you having an issue with one of the other addon settings?

Hey!
Very cool addon
I have the 2 wayshrines displayed on the Blackreach map but not on the Tamriel, the Reach and Bangkorai maps (they are displayed on these maps after I interact with them but disappear after each UI reload)

Yep, there is a physical shrine in both Eyevea and the Earthforge that you must "interact" with to be able to travel to and from.

The addon just enables this hidden wayshrines providing you have discovered them!

From what I remember you need to manually activate/discover the wayshrine at the forge once before it will show up through this addon.

Hey,

I've updated with some changes to handle the point of interests on the map.

If anyone has any problems, please let me know! I'll try to remember to check here!

I've added an additional option to show unknown points of interest (objectives) since I had to make changes around this to fix an issue with some other functionality.

I believe everything should be okay but if anyone notices anything funky with another addon, I'd like to know!

EDIT:
I forgot to mention, the French translation needs a minor update, I will do a small update to the addon when that's ready as well.
