Craft Bag Monitor (CBM)
Version: 1.21
by: Fonkin [More]
Craft Bag Monitor (CBM) - Track items that are sent to your Craft Bag including their value.

Have you ever wondered how many items went to your craft bag and how much they were worth after:
  • a dungeon/delve run
  • accepting hireling resource deliveries
  • daily writ rewards
  • deconning items
  • resource farming
Wonder no more! CBM is a command line tool that will answer all those questions and more.

CBM will also tell you how much in gold you've collected since the last time you checked using the /cbml command. It's a fast easy way to figure how much gold a specific action netted you. To use: just before you hit that node, decon that item or tap that delivery girl, type /cbml to get a current report since the last reset. Perform the action and then rerun /cbml to find out how much your Craft Bag increased in value from the drops.

If you have Master Merchant active, CBM will calculate the item's individual and combined worth as well as a grand total of all items collected.

Craft Bag Monitor - Usage:
/cbm - show this help menu
/cmbl - lists items collected since last reset w/summary
/cbms - summary only since last reset
/cmbr - resets list of collected craftbag items

DEVELOPERS: I welcome translations. Just submit the translated .lua file.
v1.21
  • Version: Updated add-on for Murkmire.

v1.2
  • Enhancement: Added new switch /cbms - Summary only since last reset.

v1.1
  • Enhancement: Reports delta gold value between the last time checked and current.

v1.02
  • Enhancement: Now reports version number in info screen. /cmb Thanks Pkodyssey for suggestion.
  • Enhancement: Initializes bag upon first use of /cbml if /cbmr hadn't been used.

v1.01
  • Bug Fix: Not reporting correct amount of loot collected if stack was over 200. Thanks to RavenMind for discovering and reporting this.

v1.0
  • Original release.

Heya! I know this was requested previously, but are there plans to enable use of TTC's prices for items rather than MM? I've found TTC's prices to be more accurate overall since MM only draws data from our own trade guilds. I gave MM a try but had to rid of it as it was causing significant performance issues (lag spikes). I would really appreciate it if this was added as an option! <3

Turpen issue

Hi!

I've donwloaded CBM few minutes ago and I realize all the reports always add 279 Turpen which I did not collect.

I play the game in french, where Turpen are called Térébenthine.
Could you please solve this? Thank you in advance for your work.

how difficult to change to main inventory

How difficult would it be to change the code to read the regular inventory instead of the craft bag? (for non eso+) I have one account with + and one without and would like to still use this to monitor my resource farming/kill loot etc. I can dig in and change the code if you'd assume its just a line or two to designate the inventory vs craft bag. I'm not familiar with LUA but could figure it out if you can confirm it'd be an easy change or not

Glad to hear it, I am too actually. I've also found it's a great way to decon for my non-crafting friends and track how much gold I should give them for the junk items.

I'm constantly being surprised by how different my perception of what I'm accumulating in the craft bag is, vs what it actually is. Great addition to my addon collection!

For the sci-fi community, delta T is more often time than temperature, but ... it isn't exactly specified.

That's awesome, thank you! I see some more enhancements have been made, yay! Not sure what delta means in the changelog, (assuming it's a mathematical term?), but I think I get the gist. Firing up ESO now!

Thanks Fonkin, that would be great! I know this was only published a short time ago, but when I get a new addon, I really like to sink my teeth into it.

For anyone wanting to know what the output looks like, I took some screenshots. *Note: The timestamps are prepended by pChat, not by this addon.

This is deconning items after a few dolmen runs & a delve:
Warning: Spoiler

This is loot from turning in crafting writs. Now I can see if doing them is actually worth it!
Warning: Spoiler

This is from refining 1k Raw Ancestor Silk. Should I have just bought the silk, or was RNGeezus with me? Now I know. (Sadly..) :P
Warning: Spoiler
Note: I wonder at the output of this last one. I don't think I could possibly have had only 200 Ancestor Silk out of 100 decons. 500-900 sounds like a more likely number. I wonder if perhaps having used Multicraft to do the deconning caused some items to be missed. Kind of like when you decon quickly, the on-screen notification stacks to a certain point, then disappears. Makes me also wonder if the deconning I did above is being correctly reported, as I also did that as quickly as the UI would let me..?

Edit: Confirmed I have way more Ancestor Silk in my bag than I had prior to deconning, much more so than the 200 being reported. I find it interesting that the reported number is also equal to a "stack". Perhaps the problem lay somewhere along those lines?

Edit 2: Theory tested. I refined an amount of ruby ash that would come to less than a full "stack". CBM reported it correctly, correlated with what was actually in my bag. I then refined an amount that would go over a "stack" (264 it turned out to be). CBM reported 200 Sanded Ruby Ash as having been added.

Hope that helps!

Thank you for the positive feedback, glad you find it useful. As for pulling pricing data, I was already thinking about that and figured someone else might want that feature as well. lol - didn't think it would be this fast after the release. I'll look into it and see how difficult it'll be. Thanks for the pointer to another addon that is already slurping the data.

I've been playing with this for a couple hours now and have to say, I think it's going to be one of my favorites.
I like that it doesn't report to a loot window or straight into chat every time something's added to the craft bag. Although it does output to the System chat, it does so only when I tell it to do so. This way all my mats are listed at the same time, making copy/pasting (pChat), or just viewing, a breeze. This addon is light-weight, concise, and easy to use. I can see myself using it for a number of other things besides those listed on the front page. For example, if I go into a delve loaded up with spiders to farm spider eggs, I can easily see how many I got when I'm done (or any time along the way). Also I'm an compulsive crate & barrel opener, now I can see if my time spent is actually worth it.
Great addon, and I highly recommend!!

One feature request, if you don't mind. I see the price calculation is tied to MM. MM is great, but until Philgo has a chance to further optimize it, I run ATT, or just TTC on all my toons except my designated 'trader'. Would there be any way to have it pull pricing data from ATT, or use TTC as a fallback? I know WritWorthy is doing this now, so maybe you can look at ziggr's work as an example if needed.

Thanks for a very hand tool!
