Basic Functionality
Shows your current CP.
- You can export this

Shows your custom CPs you build.
- You create these from scratch with the New option.
- Once created you can Rename them.
- You can clone these
- You can import these

Shows your custom CPs you build account wide

- You can clone these
- You can import these

Shows you current Trial CPs.
- You can edit these
- You can reset these to the default
- You can import these

Shows you current Trial by Alcast on his website CPs.
- You can edit these
- You can reset these to the default
- You can import these

Each discipline has a checkbox beside it so you can disable it, which means if you Save or load a CP config then it will ignore it entirely.

There is a button to "Preview", which is basically the same as Load except it won't commit your points, thus saving you 3,000 gold if you want to edit some things before committing.

NOTE: If you use preload while inside of the Champion Scene you won't see the Champion numbers itself update.
Preload will also put you in redistribute.
While in redistribute, you can NOT Save.


Edit Boxes
Just click the Edit checkbox and it will reveal a lot of EditBoxes, just type in the number you want and it will update the CP automatically.

However! Do note if you don't have the available amount of points you can NOT enter the number, it will give you the highest available. For example let's say you have 99 points available, and you type in 500, well first off, 500 will be reduced to 100 because you can only have 100 max in one star, then secondly it will check your available, since you only have 99 it will then change it to 99.

The exception to this rule is that if you already have points in a slot, so if you have 56 points in something, and have 0 points available, if you type in 100, it'll give you 56 back, so that you can reduce it to 0 and get those points back, likewise you can type in 1~56 to get how many points you want back.

Jump points and navigation
It will warn you if the current isn't valid with a yellow underline.
While inside of an Edit Box
- Up arrow increase jump
- Down arrow decreases jump
- Tab moves forward an Edit
- Shift Tab/Space moves backwards an Edit
- Enter/Esc loses focus and gives you your mouse back.

So what are jump points?
Well certain trees round down %, so you won't get any benefit until you hit a higher percent, some are not this case however such as bastion EVEN though they are %, but those that do not have that case will just increase 1 or decrease 1 per up/down arrow ( which you can hold down as well )

Transfers
If you aren't in edit mode and you are on one of your CPSlots you'll see a dropdown beside each tree.
When you click this it will expand and you'll see all your CPSlots you currenlty have.
On selection, it will transfer that CP tree to your current tree INSTANTLY.
This is a powerful function but use with care, as you may overwrite your CPSlot if you are just clicking around aimlessly.

Import and Exporting
If you hit the Export button while on Current CP or the Import button while on a CPSlot you'll open a new UI.
While you can copy the CP in both, you can only import in a CPSlot.

Export/Import Format

Or optionally you CAN use alcast's, although beware some naming he uses may be incorrect, please make note of this and let me know and I'll try to insert a special case, not just for Alcast but any other popular CP sharer.
Also note you can paste the CP Trees names and it will just ignore them. For example...
The Lady 32 Hardy, 56 Elemental Defender, 37 Thick Skinned
The Lady will be ignored entirely.

Options
- Open CPSlot's UI on Champion Perks scene load.
Toggles whether or not you want to show by default when you load the CP scene.
- Show image button to open CPSlot's UI.
Toggles whether or not you want to show the icon that tells you the keybinding and a button to open the UI and move around.
- scale
scale the window

Everything has tooltip pretty much, if you are curious or forget something just hover over it.
The window can be moved wherever you want and it'll remember.

Fixed bug where if you haven't loaded the Champion Perks scene yet it would throw an error and may get in a weird state with the default UI, so just go ahead and load the ChampionPerks deferred initialization on player activated to avoid such an error and proper loading handling.

If you want your trial CP's to reflect you will need to /resettrialcpslots, note, that this will erase any changes you have made thus far to the trial cps, so if you have done any work you can back up your saved file and I can show you how to manually change them, or just save them to a user CP, which will be easier soon.


V1.2 Fix the things I broke in a refactor, if you made a new User slot in v1.1 just delete it, if you need to salvage it for whatever reason message me and I'll help you. You'll get a UI error if you selected a v1.1 but it's okay, just close it, and delete it, and you should be good, optionally you can just delete the entire save file. VERY SORRY @[email protected]

Do you mean when you unlocked it it should have some sort of notification?

Can you not see it light up whenever that happens instead of being faded out? Or is the difference just not great enough for it to be noticeable?

Or do you mean it should tell you the information whenever you are editing that tree what it does without having to hover over it?

This is intended, you can use the tool outside of the CP menu if you so desire, however, thereis a bug inside the CP code ( ESOUI api not mine ) that the sound will play on load and this will cause it to stop execution, I plan on looking into it an hooking it to stop the error so you don't have to manually confirm, it's intermittent so...

Another thing I thought of doing is if it is in respec mode ( I'm not sure if I can check this I think this was something I tried but I no longer remember ) is that it allows you to cancel respec, so that you don't have to use the default CP ui period, you can just use this tool entirely.

I mean the tooltips are showing just fine but I miss the info when this talents unlock (e.g. when you put 10 points into green)


EDIT: BUG the new button to open/close shows up outside of the CP menu

I can't reproduce this D8. The tooltips are always there for me as long as I hover over them.

Yep I've been thinking about this for awhile, version 2.0 is coming and it's a pretty big update, it'll have this in it, thank you for mentioning it and giving me confidence it was a good idea! I'll probably release it today so stay tuned!

Love the updates so far! 3 small things that I noticed:

The cursor when naming the Set I want to save is way of to the right making it impossible to edit a name (not shure if you noticed that or if its a problem when scaling onr or high resolution of the game)

Also i woud prefere to not press enter when editing in CP, like if i set 10 points into this and klick into the next fild it shoud save the 10 points without me having to press enter. Maybe I coud even press tab to save and auto switch into the next slot?

Special stars are missing info when they unlock in the tooltip (10, 30, ...)

Yeah, that was the first thing I thought when I experienced it. Made sure to turn off every anti-spam option there was. Still ended up happening so wanted to make sure it wasn't just something screwed up on my side. Thanks for the confirmation.
Yeah sorry about that, I made an alternative that can get around these issues, a UI specifically for importing and exporting. Let me know how you like it and if there is any issues! I'm short of time to test it but I think I worked everything out.

Something I forgot to mention on the info page, while an edit box is focused you can shift+tab and tab that way you can select what you want with ctrl+c(copy) then go to the import box and ctrl+v(paste) it, then keep going back and forth whether you use ctrl+a(select all) or ctrl-left/right(jump between words) and highlight with shift to select specifics.

Chaimpion Points Slots seems to be more sophisticated in its features for allocating CP. I have not installed and attempted to use it yet -- if only because I've not had enough time to do that and to learn its features. And I won't make much progress until this uncertainty in your statements on the Info Tab is clarified.

The addon has profiles. There are User profiles (profiles you make yourself) and Trial profiles (preset CP configuration for the current Trials in ESO). /cpslotresetalltrials will reset those premade CP profiles to the addon's default CP allocation (you'd do this if you altered them and want them set back to default)

Yep that pretty much sums it up, thank you Greevir.

I will probably end redoing the info tab into a more clean layout, I've just been kind of updating it as I push out updates at the top, and I can understand how that can be confusing, I will do my best to try and explain any discrepancies of terms and the functionality as a whole that way it's easier to understand and use.

As you can see, with pChat enabled, Spell Shield is cut out of the export.
Hm that's interesting, I will investigate, I don't use pChat so I don't know currently, but I will install it and check out why that happens!

Chaimpion Points Slots seems to be more sophisticated in its features for allocating CP. I have not installed and attempted to use it yet -- if only because I've not had enough time to do that and to learn its features. And I won't make much progress until this uncertainty in your statements on the Info Tab is clarified.

Is there any particular reason I can't get the export to work right with pChat? It ends up cutting out some of the info. For example:

With pChat disabled:


With pChat enabled:


As you can see, with pChat enabled, Spell Shield is cut out of the export.

I will make the range bigger, lol, I'm sorry about that.

when you used /importslotcp it should have putted in whatever slot you currently had loaded.

the 3000g thing I think is to do with the default eso, not mine... I think it's because it tries to put more points than it actually can, this causes an error in the setPoint function and causes undefined behavior in lua... basically, it set it to the maximum points possible in a certian order.

It should be in a new tab on the cp window, if not make a new custom cp tab. It could be done with one of the two slash commands:
/importslotcp
or
/importnewcp

the edit check box has been working for me, and pre-load also works. But I have not checked the latest update.


Jodynn you need to add /printslotcp in the addon info page in the available commands section.

Also could the slash commands could be similar?
like:
/cpsexport
/cpsimport
/cpsimportnew
/cpsimportred
/cpsimportblue
/cpsimportgreen

That way CPS uses a similar verbose at the beginning of the slash commands. Its also nice for the in-game autocomplete to have these commands grouped, that way its easy to remember.
