BeamMeUp - Teleporter (Fast Travel)  Updated less than 3 days ago!

This Addon allows you to use the fast travel functionality of the game in a comfortable and highly costumizable way. All fast travel options you have through your guilds, friends and group are listed in a clear way and are usable with different search and filtering features.


Features:
  • Search, Filter, Favorite, Customize
    • Sorted list of all fast travel options and much additional information
    • Search by player or zone names
    • Easily port to Group Leader or Group Members in Dungeons (always on top)
    • Set specific players or zones as favorites and easily port to them via keybinding
    • Use the different tabs to find Fast Travel options to the open/displayed map (world map) and also to the Delves located there
    • Use filters and blacklists and many other options to customize your personal filtering (e. g. show only Overland maps or hide different types of zones)
    • Display only one entry for each zone or see all players you can travel to

  • Navigate and optimize your journey by many additional information
    • Identify different types of zones by its icon (Delve, Dungeon, House, ...)
    • Easily navigate through the maps by clicking on the zone name
      • The corresponding map will be opened
      • Location/Entrance of Delves, Houses, ... will be marked with a Map Ping
      • With installed Skyshard Addon you can make faster decisions whether a Fast Travel is worthwhile

  • Connect Treasure and Survey Maps with found Travel Options
    • See where your Treasure and Survey maps (from inventory) are located and travel to them immediately with just one click
    • If no Fast Travel options are available for this zone, the effected treasure and survey maps are summarized under "Maps in other zones"

  • Unlock new Wayshrines automatically
    • Unlock unknown wayshrines in your current zone with just one click and one second, depending on your Fast Travel options
    • You will see appearing the new wayshrines on the map and then you can use them without a need of riding to them or manual discovering

  • Interact with players appearing in your list
    • By right clicking on a player/zone name in the list several actions are available
    • Favorite Actions
      • Add a Player or a Zone to a Favorite slot
      • Remove Player or Zone Favorite
    • Group Actions
      • Invite to Group
      • Kick from Group

    • Manually add a zone to favorites (e.g. /bmu/favorites/add/zone 57 1) (zoneId of the specific zone and slot)
    • Create custom elections/votes in your group (e. g. /bmu/vote/custom_vote_unanimous Do you like BeamMeUp?)
      • Use /bmu/vote/custom_vote_unanimous to create elections where 100% are necessary

This Addon is based on the well known "Luminary - Teleporter". At this point special Thanks to @awesomebilly for his pioneering work.
1.3.0:
- NEW: You can set player and zone favorites by right clicking on them (5 slots for each). Favorites will be displayed on top and are marked with gold color. It is also possible to set keybinds for each favorite (in controls).
- NEW: Option to set the number of visible lines / entries in order to control the total height of the Addons main window

- NEW: Additional actions in right click menu of player names (Invite to Group, Leave Group, Whisper, ...)

Many Thanks for your positive feedback! We will consider your suggestions and throw them on our list of ideas. A quest functionality is already in our minds, but at first we want to improve and extend some main features.

Feature request

You all continue to impress! I love the latest update with the favorites and locking down the moving.

The favorites got me to thinking. Could we have an option that one of our favorites could be "only displayed zone"? This way when I'm in VVardenfell that zone shows at the top of the list or Greenshade shows up at the top when I'm in Greenshade.

Also, another idea would be to have a button to click to show zones with quests in them. Maybe that could have a sub option of "only for active quest". This would be great for those quests that send you to another zone. The Psijic Order quest may be a deal breaker on that one though since its got several zones at one time.

we investigated this behavior and we can confirm, that when you travel to other players (group/friends/guilds) your described anomaly occurs. It happens in general when you port to other players (with or without our Addon). So it is nothing what we can solve. The ESO-Team has to do it.

But in every cases we could get back the wayshrine symbol in compass bar by moving bit more away from the wayshrine, then again closer to it and then the symbol will come back when you are more far away from it (confusing).

Amazing new functions are coming

As long time before already wished by some users we will add in the coming version the option to set the number of visible lines / entries. By this you can control the total height of the Addon for your feeling.

Another new function coming with the next version is the feature to set player AND zone favorites (separately). You can set 5 player and 5 zones favorites and via keybinding of each favorite you can now port to your favorites just with one key.

You can already test this version at our Beta-Channel Here.

Feel free to try this new evolution step or wait until we release it here in the final channel. Anyway we would appreciate your feedback

Thanks for your request. In general it is not hard to implement. Nevertheless we have to see, when we have the time and resources to realize that (first we have to finish some other features which are already in the pipeline)

thanks for your work. Today I did a first short quick test of the functions lib:GetZoneNamesByIds and lib:GetZoneName which are most interesting for me. Works like expected and I will test more (and properly start real implementation) in the next days. I will give you more feedback in time

And also thanks for your hint regarding function formatName. I will adjust this code part.

What info do you got and compare if you search for the "zone name" in the edit field?
Do you have a lookup table for the current available zoneNames (from group, friendslistm guilds) containing the zoneId ?

I got a table with zoneData[language][zoneId] = {
["name"] = String "Zone name here",
["zoneIndex"] = number zoneIndex
["parentZone"] = number zoneId of parent zone -- ONly on PTS, API100025 Murkmire
}

So if you got a table with the zoneIds to search through, you can get the English texts for the zoneNames via the zoneIds and search through the English names then with the text the user entered into the zone search edit field.

I'd provide you a function like

where you pass the zoneIds you have in the "available guild mates, friends, group list" as a table in parameter "zoneIdsTable"

Seems something is not working if you clear the search edit fields manually by selecting the whole content.
Thanks for this hint. After reproducing I found the cause very fast and I already fixed it. We will test the fix more in detail and release it together with the version 1.2.0 which is already in Beta-Channel and comes with many new features

First: This is a global function which might get overwritten by other addons! So better put this into your addon namespace like

Seems something is not working if you clear the search edit fields manually by selecting the whole content.
Thanks for this hint. After reproducing I found the cause very fast and I already fixed it. We will test the fix more in detail and release it together with the version 1.2.0 which is already in Beta-Channel and comes with many new features
