Pollox's Daily Quest Tracker (Beta)  Updated this week!
Version: 0.6
by: Pollox [More]
This addon is in an early stage of active development. Please don't be surprised by bugs or instability. Please leave a detailed comment with any bugs you find, or feature ideas you have.

Tracks which daily quests you've completed today, and which ones you're still eligible for. Also gives you a timer to show when quests reset. Find out what today's pledges are. See which alts still need to do crafting. Or which Summerset World Boss quests you're still eligible to have shared. Or just to be a daily completionist.

Includes support for the following daily quests:
  • Undaunted Pledges
  • Crafting
  • Morrowind
  • Summerset
  • Clockwork City
  • Thieves Guild
  • Dark Brotherhood
  • Wrothgar
  • Mages Guild, Fighters Guild, and Undaunted Delve
  • Murkmire Prequel

To use, set a keybinding to show/hide the window under the Controls menu. If you have multiple characters, I recommend Votan's Keybinder addon to set the keybinding once for all your characters. You can also toggle the window by using the command /dqt in chat.

Note: not compatible with the addon "Daily Quest Tracker". Please disable or uninstall that before enabling this one. It can create a large file in your saved variables folder, which can crash your game.

Dependencies
Lib-AddonMenu 2.0

Limitations
  • It will only track quests you picked up after you installed the addon.
  • The addon currently does not distinguish between a quest you picked up, and one that someone shared with you.
  • If you pick up a quest one day, but don't turn it in until the next day, the app will assume you are eligible to do your daily quest still. This is usually true, but in some cases you might get assigned the same daily quest that next day (e.g. same world boss), in which case the game actually won't give you a new daily quest.

Coming in the future
  • Undaunted Pledges
  • Weekly trial timers
  • Murkmire daily quests

Thanks
  • Arch-kain - French translation
  • zelenin - Russian translation
v0.6
  • Undaunted pledges, including what today's pledges are (English only for now)
  • french translation
v0.5
  • added toggle to show quests where there are multiple quests that can be shared for a given quest type
  • added slash command /dqt to toggle display
  • Russian translation (by zelenin)
  • partial French and German translations
  • gui fixes and improvements
    • ensure the window is always wide enough to hold all the columns
    • fixed quest status not updated when window is open when turning in quest
    • fixed quests appearing in a different order each time you reloaded
v0.4
  • added daily crafting quests
v0.3
  • added options to filter by character and section
v0.2
  • overhauled user interface: shows all your characters in a scrollable, movable window
  • added undaunted daily delve

Japanese is not currently supported. If you'd like to help translate, or can find someone who can, get in touch with me and I'll walk you through what needs to be done.
ok.Does that mean that it works if it can translate into Japanese? I will consult the guild of the acquaintance.

Unhappy It does not work in Japanese ESO

It does not work in Japanese ESO. Since the error does not come out, I do not know the cause. This is a very useful add-on, so I definitely want to use it.

I couldn't find translations for these 4 in French (and none for the Russian)

Code:
L.SI_DQT_PLEDGE_FANG_LAIG	= "Pledge: Fang Lair"
L.SI_DQT_PLEDGE_SCALECALLER	= "Pledge: Scalecaller Peak"
L.SI_DQT_PLEDGE_MOONHUNTER	= "Pledge: Moon Hunter Keep"
L.SI_DQT_PLEDGE_MARCH	= "Pledge: March of Sacrifices"
I don't know were we can find these quests But, if their name is exactly the same as dungeons ; I switched fr/en version to compare ; I suppose these quests are :

Lua Code:
  1. L.SI_DQT_PLEDGE_FANG_LAIG   = "Serment : Repaire du croc"
  2. L.SI_DQT_PLEDGE_SCALECALLER = "Serment : Pic de la Mandécailles"
  3. L.SI_DQT_PLEDGE_MOONHUNTER  = "Serment : le Fort du Chasseur lunaire"
  4. L.SI_DQT_PLEDGE_MARCH       = "Serment : Procession des Sacrifiés"

For "Section Names", do you want "DLC names" or "Map names"?
I mean, "Clockwork City" is the term used in the collection (and crown store) in french version but, in the map it's "La Cité Mécanique"

And, here a tiny additional translation ; for the others, I don't know what they are
Lua Code:
  1. L.SI_DQT_GROUP_BOSS = "Boss de groupe"

Indeed! I think these quests have not "I" in their name, like in the dungeon list, right now

I need the trials at least for my own personal use. At the very least, you'll be able to turn them off like all the other options. At some point, I want to have tabs in the window so you can organize things a bit. I'm still planning how these would work, and it could be a significant effort to implement them, so that's down the line.

I might do something like:
Daily Quests
Crafting (and horse timer)
Trials

Or maybe user configurable names and organization (but that's even more work).

I make pull request with all translated dailies. Now we can adapt it to the code base and add all quests.

That's the list I used for my first set of quests. I picked out the ones I thought people might be interested in doing daily.
For example, ones that have good rewards, ones I do, or ones I hear about other people doing. So, definitely not Hadran's Caravan.

... I was waiting for people to request them rather than clutter with a feature that everyone will disable. Like, do people Imperial City dailies? I have no idea...
good point

Let me know which ones from there you would like, and I'll add them, no problem.
As I got started on this question, I myself could see a problem:

I do 2 easy quests in Craglorn, but that is just 2 out of 7 in Upper Craglorn, then there is also Lower Craglorn which is another 7 quests,
and it somehow defies the purpose of the addon, if only 2/14 quests is "interesting enough timewise" to do.

I see someone started to add the Murkmire quests, so I can get started on those.
Nice one, these like the pre-Murkmire in Shadowfen is somewhat easy and not too time consuming.

Trials are weekly, not daily, so that requires more work and is on my list for some point in the future when I have enough free time.
I would say, avoid trials in this addon, but your choice.

Oh, did you get the text in the gui displaying properly with the latest version, or are you still having an issue?
Yes, somehow the text magically appeared as it should, (most likely after a minor fix, or me un-/re- installing the addon) so all good.

(Support for languages besides English will depend on other people providing those translations, although a couple people have been helpful with that so far.)

That could be interesting. Can you describe a bit more what problem this is solving, and how it would work with multiple characters? Would it only hide the row if all the characters finished it? Or only work when you're using it for a single character?

If it's about making it more visible which quests are left, I could add a theme option for picking different icon styles besides the checkboxes. For example, a green check and a red x could make it easy to see which quests are left.

Damn. Crafting works, Wrothgar doesn't. I will debug it later. Not much time for it.

PS I wrote translation generator. Can we speak about it in telegram or skype? I want adapt it to your requirements.
