Improve your group's ability to work together as a team in Battlegrounds, Cyrodiil and World zones.
* Note that the Light cannot be seen in Dungeons or Trials - a restriction imposed by the game itself.

The divine Light of Meridia shines down upon each group member - so brilliantly that it can be seen from vast distances with ease.






Using different colors - all of which you may configure - the Light of Meridia can identify the following:
  • Tanks, Healers and the Group Leader
  • Fallen group members
  • Fallen group members already being/having been resurrected
Different colors may also be configured for groups in:
  • Battlegrounds
  • Cyrodiil
  • World
PLEASE NOTE:
This add-on requires that you have configured the following setting:
Video > SubSampling Quality
to
HIGH
Any other value for this setting will result in inaccurate visual effects.

bit brighter than the rest - to individual group members. To do so, target the
group member, open the Interact With Player radial menu and Invoke Meridia's

Light of Meridia For Guards

Can this work on NPCs???

If so... I have a request. Can you make guards have a beam of light if we have a bounty?
Or, if you're unable to code it to recognize when we have a bounty, it could be something toggle-able maybe?

I love this addon and I use it all the time in Cyrodiil. I could not get it to work in IC and sewers. Is that intended or was I doing something wrong?

Actually, I hadn't added a feature like what you are describing ... yet. Though, that does sound like a good one to add for the next release. I'll add that to my plan for this add-on. Thanks for the suggestion! <3
Just wanted to follow up with you as well on this topic. The latest release adds a new feature that allows you to bless one or more group members with a special (configurable) Light beam. It shines a bit brighter than all of the others as well.

To use this, target the player and open the Interact With Player menu as you normally would to Group Invite or Add Friend them. Then, choose "Invoke Meridia's Blessing" from the radial menu to assign the custom light beam to them. You can repeat this process for each significant group member that you want to keep track of. To remove the light from someone, repeat the process - the second use will dispel the light from them.

I hope this fits your use case. :-)

Thank you so much for letting me know. I think this may be a side effect from the workaround that I had to use to fix the issue where group members that joined after you wouldn't be assigned a Light.

I'll check it out and see what's going on... <3

A Strange Issue

The wife and I while grouped, each entered our own 'newly opened' wing of the Halls of the Lunar Champion. While I was in my wing (phase) I could see the shaft of light on the wife as though she was standing in my phase. She, however, could not see my shaft of light. Additional information, at this time she is the group leader. We switched leaders, recreated groups with both of us taking turns inviting the other, no difference.

Really weird.

Great addon!

One issue I have is that while I am in a group, the other party member(s) may or may not be online, I sporadically see a beam of light eminating from myself. Is that expected behavior?

Invaluable. I've been strongly recommending this addon to my Cyro guild for following Crown and getting our downs back up.

Quick comment though, I saw in Changelog that it was a BG issue that was fixed, but I'd noticed that the light beam was being problematic out in Cyro tonight, too, so hopefully 14 will fix that, as well? Same issue that was described.
Yikes! I was not actually aware of that -- that may be the same problem. Unfortunately, the workaround that I implemented was focused on Battleground zone instances only. I will publish a new release shortly that should address the issue globally. Thank you so much for letting me know about this! <3

I was heartbroken when I found out about this. Do you know if there could be some sort of workarounds?

Do you know if it is possible to code an addon that would allow you to change the colour of the over-the-head health bar (not the group frame health bar, mind you) by role? There are tons of addons for changing health bar colour by role in the group frame, but Lights of Meridia is the ONLY addon I know that allows you to highlight the actual players!
You and me both. I had actually written this add-on for PVP and PVE originally, so you can image how I felt when I went to Wayrest Sewer to test it with a friend only to find that 3D UI elements are blocked from Dungeon and Trial zone instances. :-(

Could it be worked around? Err - I'll just put it this way: Since ZeniMax feels that an add-on with utility similar to that of Light of Meridia might trivialize aspects of PVE, it would probably be in everyone's best interest that we do not try to work around that policy. ;-)

I do hope that you find this add-on useful for PVP though. I have found it to be a game changer for Battlegrounds and Cyrodiil (but maybe I am biased) ;-)
