New original icons for all current in-game styles. All original icons completely remade from scratch. -Phinix

NOTE: If you encounter an item with a Monster Set icon that isn't actually from a monster set (or a Monster Set item with a different style icon), paste the following command in chat and before hitting enter click your cursor between the quotes and right-click the item, select "Link in Chat," then hit enter and comment here with the ID it gives you and the name of the item so I can add it to a bypass table. I will include new icons as soon as I know what styles or sets I may have missed that are actually in the game:

Many thanks to ingeniousclown to allow me to use Research Assistant framework for this addon.

Thanks to Bl4ckSh33p for German localization.

NOTE: Starting with ver 0.5.0, addon settings are account wide. You will loose your settings when upgrade!

This mod adds two icons to the list view of inventory. One to show racial motif(race icon) for the items and second to show armor type(heavy/medium/light). Icons color match the item quality.

Features:

Multilanguage support
Toggle on/off which icons you want to be displayed.
Two types of indicators for Armor Type, icon or letter. Configurable from settings.
Toggle on/off quality color for icons.
Customizable icon size.
Customizable position(relative to item name).
Different themes for motifs/armor type icons.
Compatible with Inventory Grid View and Research Assistant addons by ingeniousclown. You need grid mode off to see the icons!

FAQ

Is your addon compatible with XXX addons?
Is more yes, than no. I have most of popular addons installed and i found no compatibility problem.
It seems that your addon is not compatible with XXX addon

What textures do you use for racial and armor icons?
I created custom textures from images found in internet and edited in Paint.Net
For armors: From DA2
For motifs: Similar to ones in character creation menu. For additional four motifs, from Skyrim.
I don't like the icons you use
Send me a full set of textures(14 motifs, 6 armor, 1 for unknown) and i will gladly add them as separate theme. Here can be found how to create dds files.

I am honestly not sure where that comes from. It is a very old screenshot, so it is possible it was part of the UI at one point, or added by AdvancedFilters or one of its plugins I no longer use.

There is an attempt to access possibly nil data, whenever a new motif not specifically known to the addon is learned.

To avoid any bugs in between updating the addon to include new motifs, change line AIResearchGrid.lua:485 to:

The fix is simply adding "if not styles[itemStyleId] then" as the first conditional, to make sure the style is in the list, as an empty block so nothing happens if its not, and then changing "if chapterIndex == ITEM_STYLE_CHAPTER_ALL then" to "elseif chapterIndex == ITEM_STYLE_CHAPTER_ALL then" (if becomes elseif).

Very minor fix to make the addon (a bit) future-proof.

If a motif isn't supported, you just don't get a motif icon for the item in question, but everything else shows up as normal. My guess would be that some sort of LUA error is happening, possibly another mod, which would give more information about what is actually causing it. However, I have logged in a few times since the update and this addon is working fine for everything that I've already made an icon for, no errors, and certainly no missing inventory. Try checking your notifications if you are using NoThankYou! to redirect LUA errors to there. Otherwise just watch for any error and post if you can. Since the Clockwork City expansion, using the Show Motifs addon disables the ability to see items in the inventory. If the addon is toggled to 'on', only the inventory menu's background appears. None of the inventory items appear, just the blank background. If the addon is toggled to 'off', the inventory items appear like they should. I tested on several different characters, once I isolated the issue to this addon. Thanks, __________________
