In short: See on a glance which item can be enchanted in your inventory/eq - and whether you have the right glyph available (green enchanter symbol - you have the right glyph, orange - enchantment is still possible, but not with the glyphs you have).

Hi,

this is my first add-on for Elder Scrolls Online, so I hope you'll enjoy it .
I found it always tedious to right-click on every item, choose Enchant and see that the item couldn't be enchanted. This script - like Research Assistant, which I took as a base - is there to fix that. It adds an enchanter symbol to every item, that can be enchanted. If there is a suitable glyph in the backpack, the check-mark will be green, otherwise it will be orange. I didn't bother to add a red symbol for items that can't be enchanted, as this would be too much clutter in my opinion.
Usable Glyphs for worn or inventory items are marked with green.

Additionally, there are two key-bindings available for a quick check via a dump to the chat window. One for seeing all items that have a suitable glyph available and another for seeing all items, that can be enchanted.

If you have any suggestions, please let me know. You might have different preferences than I do. I plan to add saveable settings for different preferences anyway.

The list of add-ons I use it with:
- Research Assistant Remix
- SousChef
- Inventory Grid View (for testing purposes)

Planned additions:
- add configuration panel for add-on settings
- make it work with trading house, if possible, but it seems as if the trading house doesn't provide a bag information.

dies ist mein erstes Add-on . Es löst für mich das Problem mit dem umständlichen Umgang mit Verzauberungen (Rechts-Klick auf Gegenstand -> Verzauberung -> keine Glyphen sichtbar). Dieses Add-on macht an alle Gegenstände im Display ein Symbol, die verzaubert werden können. Wenn ein passender Glyph im Inventory ist, dann ist das Symbol grün, ansonsten Orange.

Falls ihr schnell wissen wollt, ob es Gegenstände in der Ausrüstung (EQ, nicht Inventory) mit passenden Verzauberungen gibt, könnt ihr die Key-Bindings aktivieren. Ein Tastendruck zeigt dann im Chat-Fenster an, ob es Gegenstände gibt, die ein grünes Häkchen bzw. ein anderer, ob es Gegenstände mit orangem oder grünen Häkchen gibt.

Seems like it does not work correctly with the latest Research Assistant. The enhancement icon is located way to the left instead next to research icon and there is no way to move it the left or right to position it next to research icon as you have it on your screenshots. This causes overlap with an item name when its too long. Also some configs to change colors or icons would be absolutely awesome. Thanks!!!

Hi,

it shouldn't require a fresh install, since the information for useable glyphs is not stored. You are checking it too with right-clicking for enchant, right?

i have the right glyph, and items
but its not marked at all now, any of glyphs i created

and items still have orange mark, it must be green

Perhaps the update process doesn't include deleting files that are not supposed to be in the directory?

Hi, I renamed it to README, but the Readme thing persists. Maybe some garbage left behind.

thanks for the report. Version 1.0.10 declares that function now as local.

Missing local

Hi Criscal,

you're missing a "local" for hookedFunctions in addHooks(), line 443.
This caused a strange effect in my Junkee addon. I am using a similar construct, but I am only hooking the bagpack and bank, not the guild bank. But with your addon active, the guild bank was still affected, until I added the local.

If anyone knows the reason for this effect, please let me know.

1) if you have issues with the add-on, just let me know which issue you get. I will fix it asap.
2) The overhead comes with inventory checking - not with running around or fighting.
3) Even if there are guidelines for enchantability - you would have to hover over the equipment - each single item l.
4) Some glyphs prevent a new enchantment, so the guidelines wouldn't work there.

Just a heads up for those having issues with this or just want to avoid extra overhead cuz they have a gillion addons like me:

You can tell whats enchant-able via a few simple rules:
- Random and crafted items can always be enchanted. They have simple names like this addons SS shows "material name of enchantment"
- Named items can NEVER be enchanted except one very specific endgame case:
-- VR Dungeon gear/PVP ap-points purchased gear, which lacks enchantments to begin with, can be enchanted, they are:
