Hi all, I’m back and working on addons again. Times are tough and I am desperately in need of financial support at the moment dealing with disability due to a bleeding brain cavernoma and other expenses on less than $600 monthly fixed income. If anyone can help, or knows anyone that can help, or can possibly feature some of my work on their stream to help drive support my way, I would be immensely grateful. ESO Treasure Box

REQUIRED LIBRARIES: LibAddonMenu

This addon gives you a handy in-game app to track, sort, and browse through all the treasures in Tamriel!

These are the treasures you find pick-pocketing, stealing, and doing other criminal activities, as well as occasionally from Mirri's treasure bags and other more legitimate sources, and contain interesting and often humorous flavor text and lore tidbits. Normally you would either trash or sell these items at a fence and forget about them. Now you can feel free to browse and read them at your leisure.

FEATURES:

Toggle between showing only treasures you have found or all available in the game (see video).
Sort treasure list by quality, date found, category, zone found, or character found by.
Scrolling box of most recent treasures (can filter by quality).
Text search the displayed treasure list.
Shift-click to link items in chat.

EDIT: Removed some testing functions.

Removed dependency on LibPhinixFunctions (too many libs).
Minor code maintenance.

Updated API for Ascending Tide.
Changed database update automation to not automatically reload the UI. Now it just warns you.

v1.02:

Added fallback for rare case when game returns "" for player's current zone. This will avoid seeing a blank spot in the navigation list of zones, as well as the "Last Found" field and zone list on individual items, and cleans up instances where this has already occurred automatically.

v1.01:

Fixed recorded zone sometimes not being the correct zone you found the treasure in.

(Thanks Alianym for pointing out that GetCurrentMapZoneIndex() doesn't always return the current zone index of the player, but actually the last zone index you browsed using the game map. The addon has been switched to use GetUnitZoneIndex("player") now which should always be correct.)

By the Eight! You just completely revolutionized my gameplay! I was on this mission to get all these items so that I could Link-to-Chat for RP purposes. i.e. "Pulls out her [Outdated map of Tamriel] to see where they are." You know, stuff like that. I never actually needed the item in my inventory. Omg, thank you! You deserve a donation!

Question, why do the items in the master list all have that red stolen outline to them? Would you be able to make their default item IDs the "cleansed" ID instead of the stolen ID? When an item is stolen, it has a different ID than when it is laundered and becomes "clean". I mean, I could even help you with this. I know there's about 4680 items.

Is there a way to code in the option to right-click the treasures and Link to Chat from the menu list? I can left-click them and it shows their data box, but I want to be able to Link to Chat. Like, you know, how you can if they're in your inventory. But if they're not in my inventory, your menu has the master list of all the treasures and it would be a game-changer to be able to link them in the chatbox. Kinda like how you can with armor sets and stuff. Would this be possible? Tes96

Love your addon. The addon causing it is exactly as you say. Guild roster addon that does almost the same affecting Guild Roster list: ITT Roster bot Added info -Guild Roster.

Phinix Forum posts: 186 File comments: 1645 Uploads: 32	@jinncrazey - Hi, glad you like it! As for the memory footprint, the saved variables file is only around 3mb which is fairly moderate actually. Back in the day the game's default memory limit for addons was 64mb, to give you an idea. More recently they removed the limit and automatically adjust LUA (addon) memory limit based on how many addons you have. You used to have to edit UserSettings and increase the max memory manually. Even still, 3mb out of 64mb would probably not be an issue. Even if it was, it wouldn't stop you from connecting. Addons are loaded after your character has been selected during the load process. At that point you are already logged in and connected. Further, it wouldn't be a memory limit but rather, some addon using functions that result in getting you kicked from the server. These are usually addons that do things like ping the map or change guild/friend notes. If these type of server query actions happen too frequently the game will kick you to the login screen. I am curious what happens when you are not able to connect. How far do you actually get? Does it get to the point where you see your character in-game, or only the character select screen (or not even that far)? Does it give any message, or just kick you out? The first time you log into a character after a major API version change (game update, like the recent Update 33), the addon will check its database and update with any new treasures that have been added to the game. This can cause your UI to be a little laggy for a few seconds but it should not prevent connecting under any circumstance. Last edited by Phinix : 04/13/22 at 01:54 PM.

I think the savedvars file is way too huge and sometimes causing my game to not allow me to connect to the game. Cud be this addon or other or combination of these. But everytime that happens i just disable this addon and sometimes others and i am able to connect again.
