This addon detects when Crystal Fragments triggers the effect of granting the next use of 'Crystal Fragments' (Sorcerer's skill) as an instant cast ability with 50% cost of magicka.

After the API changes during beta, this buff isn't easily tackable anymore, but it can be done with some gimmicks. The addon is inspired by Foundry Tactical Combat's workaround in detecting the proc. Thanks to FTC's author Atropos.

The addon will display a big icon when the effect is triggered in order to facilitate the player knowing that the effect has procced, and will disappear as soon as the player uses Crystal Fragments or for the buff's total duration of 8 seconds if the ability is not used.
The icon can be moved and its new location will be automatically saved for future play sessions. The icon can be moved once the effect has been triggered, just drag it around with the mouse.

IMPORTANT: The ingame interface settings must be set to always show the action bar in order for the addon to work properly and always show the proc. You can do this by going in your ingame Settings > Interface > Action Bar > Always Show

This addon has a limitation which consists of not being able to stack consecutive Crystal Fragments procs (within 8 seconds from the first proc) if the player doesn't use the ability before the effect ends. So don't freak out if you see your hands still glowing while the icon has disappeared after it's maximum duration of 8 seconds.

I recommend turning this addon off if you are not using Crystal Fragments at all in your action bars since ESO is not an addon friendly game; the less addons you have doing periodic checks the better (the code is not optimized).

I have no idea what your problem might be. Have you setted interface settings to always show action bar?
I don't see what can be the problem since you are the first and only one to say it's not working, unless they have recently patched something that changes API behaviour or how the skill works.
Anyways, I don't play the game anymore so I won't be updating the addon, sorry.

dodgebear Forum posts: 0 File comments: 6 Uploads: 0	can't get the proc I loaded the addon but can't tell if it works because I can't get the proc to happen. It says 35% of the time, for me it's 0%. I just killed a bunch of mobs, using Crystal Fragments at least 40 times. Not one proc. Is there something i'm doing wrong? I cast Crystal Fragments, then use it again and again in the same attack, expecting at least one to become instant but they also use 1.5 sec and same magicka. < EDIT > I found the answer, using google search links to some forums. The proc ( a 5 second window where Crystal Fragments is insta-cast and cheaper ) only happens after casting some OTHER spell, and only 35% of the time you do so. Very unobvious. As it turns out, the very best description I found in a forum was written by the creator of this addon. If only the game company could write as clearly - their description is completely wrong and misleading, saying the spell itself has a "35% chance to make your next use...." I wasn't seeing it with 40 tests on my bow-sorceror because the only 2 magicka spells I was using were Crystal Fragments, only as an opener (because of the delay) and Endless Fury only as a finishing move (does 4 times as much damage to an almost dead opponent). In between I was using the bow with stamina spells or basic bow cast. And letting my pet tail-whip their butts. Now that I know the rules, it can be useful fighting 2-3 mobs. Use the finishing move on the first (rather than a stamina spell) and if the addon shows CF proc, use that as my next shot on one of the others. Last edited by dodgebear : 06/11/14 at 03:43 PM.
