What does it do?
  • tracks everything in your characters' Bags, Bank, Guild Banks, CraftBag and Storage Chests
  • tracks items in House(s) (configurable)
  • keeps track of the Gold / AP / Telvar Stones / Writ Vouchers for each character
  • keeps track of the space used/available for each character
  • allows filtering your inventory by item type
  • lets you search the items by name, or by set name
  • adds data to item tooltip showing you where that item is located (all popups/tooltips, or only when over the Inventory Insight window)

  • FCO Item Saver integration
  • Guild banks tracking is now separate between world servers

Purging the data and rebuilding as you described is the only way I know to fix, Wait there is a tool in the addon that allows purging single characters, provided not everything is corrupted you could try that.

I am getting bad data about where things are stored now. It seems to be ok in the separate frame, which doesn't match the info in the tooltip, but on a lot of items, that is off screen due to a long tooltip window and not a usable option for me. Anyone know whats going on and have a solution that doesn't involve me wiping the addon and savedvariables and re-installing? I really don't want to have to login all my chars and visit all my houses to rebuild the database, without any insurance that doing so would even work.

I did try the tip below about editing the lua, but that didn't help either.

Thoughts on new feature

Hello.

I like to use your add-on with FCO-ItemSaver. For displaying and adding marks to items while using Inventory Insight.

One problem I occassionally have is when there are multiple items with different marks that get stacked in the Inventory Insight screen.

Some things I need to see (or set) different icons for. For instance between a piece of gear I'm saving vs. the same piece of gear I'm going to sell.

I was thinking maybe there could be a right-click menu option that would allow us to Un-stack a particular item inside the Inventory Insight screen (until we close it).

Perhaps this would only apply to certain items, rather than things like massive stacks of mats (since that would make for an exceedingly long list if unstacked).

Also, maybe there could be a different icon (marker) that shows up when some stack of items has multiple FCOItemSaver icons on different items in the stack.

Hope this all makes sense.

I am assuming you have confirmed all of the addons and libraries are updated.

Another thought there is a patch for this addon further down in the comments. It would be a good idea to give that a try.

First of all I cannot live without your addon any more. It is so helpful and reliable.
However, since about 2 months or so when I have Inventory Insight activated and I use the Settings Menu + Addons to go to the option to change settings for example in raidnotifier the option to find raidnotifier or LUI Extended is totally vanished. Only a few addons are left in the selection menu and the rest is not visible/selectable.
I have turned everything off and slowly build my set with addons and this visual problem only appears after i have Inventory Insight active.

Great addon, makes live a lot easier when spreading out gear over multiple alts

Quick question: are there any updates scheduled?
Besides the game changes as described in other posts, LibStub is no longer updated.
On the authors page it says the support is now ingame, so would be nice to switch.

I didn't know that there was a tooltip in Inventory Insight before, but I tried the hints below and made the changes in IIfATooltip.lua succested by @generaluploads and disabled the tooltip of CraftStore. The result is very confusing:

The Tooltip shown by Inventory Insight is also wrong !?


When I open inventory Insight I have two lines for the same item.
On the first line I see 2 items, and the tooltip shows "Nighth‚wks x 2", that correct.


On the second line I see 1 item and the tooltip shows "Aerithria x 1", that also correct.


But it's always the same item, just in different bags (guildbank and backpack) and the tooltip should always be the same:



Does anybody know how to fix this ?
I dont understand .lua code.

Of course its very convinient addon, thx. Only 1 things drives me crazy and i try 10000000 way to get rid of it and not susceed ( when i am in house and open house furniture menu to put some furniture into house - i have VERY annoing menu of II ( inventary insaine ) in the MIDDLE of screen, and it very - very annoing ( cos i try to switch off meny screen in settings housing - and it off, i try to move menu II to tne different place ,but it workin only if i open II on chars. if i open furniture in house mode- the window -menu II - AGAINE in the mIDDLE of screen ((( dunno what to do, it makes impossible to put anything from furniture in to house ... of course - in settings - all house is ignored and =furniture colestions - is OFF. not working.. help.. i like addon as i have 8 chars. if only II not appier when open house menu - woud be brilliant..

  2. Go to line 297
  3. Change TOOLTIP_GAME_DATA_MAX_VALUE to TOOLTIP_GAME_DATA_STOLEN

What changed in Update 29 is that they introduced a new enumeration: TOOLTIP_GAME_DATA_CHAMPION_PROGRESSION. So in the previous patch, when OnAddGameData was called with TOOLTIP_GAME_DATA_STOLEN (the previous max value), it would trigger the tooltip update. But in Update 29, the max value is now TOOLTIP_GAME_DATA_CHAMPION_PROGRESSION, and OnAddGameData is never called with TOOLTIP_GAME_DATA_CHAMPION_PROGRESSION for an item tooltip.

TL;DR: IIfA assumed that TOOLTIP_GAME_DATA_MAX_VALUE would always be valid for an item tooltip, but ZOS broke that assumption by adding a data type for CP 2.0 that doesn't appear in item tooltips.

Are you using other addons too?

Because I had the same bug, as well as the bought items not showing up in my invetory, but they both dissapeared after I deactivated Advanced Filters, so I just removed it since the ingame filters are much better now then they were when I got it. I had no problems after that and I've been running Inventory Insight all the time.
Just asking because i wonder if it might actually not be a problem with Inventory Insight (or Advanced Filters in my case), but is caused by a combination of different addons?
