I'm having the same issue. I don't see where in the lua to put the new code. Baertram's code seems almost like a new variable? But then where does it get placed?

I disabled NodeDetection in my addons list ingame (under Libraries) but one thing I noticed even after having done that was that every time I open my map and zoom out to see the whole zone my FPS will drop from 58 to 11.

I'm not using any of those features which cause the errors and I don't know if it will break them, but if you go to \code\Toolbar.lua and replace
:SetParent( parent )
with
:SetParent( GuiRoot )
in line 552 and 611 the errors stop.
Worked for me as well.

Exactly my issue. Stuck at "Downloading" in Minion, and I can see the ZIP file in the AddOns folder, but it won't progress beyond Downloading.
I'm having this issue as well. I stupidly uninstalled the addon, figuring I'd just manually download the new version.....

LibStub is still needed. This addon is too old to get rid of LibStub that easily. I am not updating my version of this Toolbar, as it is unclear who actually is updating what. But you can grab @jaedha's updated version here which requires with LibAddonMenu-2.0 and LibStub. https://github.com/jaedha/wykkydsToolbar/releases/tag/v3.2.7....
