UI Transparency/Unreadable issue

I have just installed DarkUI as of today. I loaded up with a really weird very transparent and hard to read User Interface. The check marks of add ons and other things are gone and/or very hard to see. I have played with the settings, reloaded the game, followed the troubleshooting steps (uninstall, reboot, install, reboot) and still...
