I cant find big topic for all requests, mby it doesnt exist

i can tell only few things
will be nice if

- allow to resize minion window to fullscreen, etc. (we will see more addons in the list this way)
- scrolling installed list by mouse wheel must be smoother, now its too uncomfortable
- allow minion to delete file from SavedVariables folder when we uninstalling addons
- incidentally i delete one addon, and dont noticed which one...
can you add a history to the Minion?
- check for updates button
- remember "Sort by:" field setting for the next launch
- Suggestion add a way for logged in users to save a list of the add-ons they have installed
- add to the rightclick menu of installed addons - open addon's folder
- add addon's size in kBytes to this section will be nice

- allow to sort addons by "can be updated"
- minion still searches for it for addons. is there any way i could get it to skip WOW? an option somewhere that says: 'search for addons for these games:'

I saw your thread. Sorry I didn't respond quickly enough, just been focused on bugs. Thank you for the suggestions QuadroTony. :)

Many of the requests are in our ticket system and we will get to them. :)

I don't agree with auto closing the addon info window when you press the website button. Many times I want the window to stay open. I'm sure if we changed that we would get feature requests to keep the window open.

Resizing would be great. And the mouse wheel scrolling seems to move in chunks of 3. It looks weird because the window only displays 5 addons. If you changed it to display 6 addons, either by shrinking the bars or making the window taller, you'd have a better transition.

This. I actually like the window staying open. If I read through comments for a while to see if it's up to date, or if it at least still works, I pop back to a big Install button.

i, for examle, after reading the page on the site
and if i like the addon, alt-tab and install/update it from the main minion window

i fixed my suggestion, mby add an option, who like it - will use it =)

would be nice to add a button "check for addon's updates"

i refresh the esoui sometimes, and if i see new patch for addon, it takes few minutes or more, when the update will be visible in minion too
in that case i close+restart minion to update this addon

but nvm, mby im too impatient to w8ing ;)

Side note:

Any addon categorized as a developer utility or an ESO utility doesn't show up even if properly formed. I had to move Wykkyd's Image Viewer and Wykkyd's Multi-Screen to new categories to get them to show up in Minion.

I believe this is because those categories are reserved for files that aren't addons.

Added to our backlog, thanks! good idea. The biggest problem to overcome would be addons that have multiple folders in the root. What folder do you open?

i mean exactly the folder of the addon, i need sometimes to edit something or add some fixes into .lua file
but general
Elder Scrolls Online\liveeu\AddOns
will be good too

I understand but some addons have more than one folder (ones that include libs, and other addons). So it would be difficult for minion to decide what folder to open. However there are a few good ideas on how to handle those when Minion comes across them.

soooo, i don't have, and have never played WOW, but minion still searches for it for addons. is there any way i could get it to skip WOW? an option somewhere that says: 'search for addons for these games:'

if not, i think that would be a good feature :)

Can you add option to change name of the game displayed in the list?

I have installed ESO for all three servers and it's a bit confusing when all items has the same name:

strange, I got good games names ?

Good to know that Minion can detect different game versions. To make it look the same as on your screenshot I had to reset game detection (Settings -> Reset game detection) and let Minion to find games again. After that all my ESO versions has different names. However now I have to setup ignored addons and different addon versions again.

Examples of wrong detection:
Advanced Filters - Research Assistant Filters: shows that latest version is v1.1.1 and my version is v1.1.0.1. Both version are the same.
Advanced Filters - Sous Chef Filters: same as above
Dialog Tweaks instead of Dialog Tweaks (for Update 5)
Equipment Level instead of Equipment Level (for Update 5)
GSA: detects that my version is v.08, but I have installed the latest 1.2a(1)
Inventory Item Borders instead of Inventory Item Borders (for Update 5)

Three different detections are my patches for existing addons. What do I have to change, so Minion will
detect them correctly as different download?

Let us see only our favourites addons under the "Find more" function.

I'd say just open the addon's main folder -> Should be the addon name inside "...\Elder Scrolls Online\live<eu>\AddOns".
e.g. addon name is MyAddon -> Open "..\Elder Scrolls Online\live<eu>\AddOns\MyAddon"

If there are different subfolders in here or not is not relevent as the manifest TXT file should be in the main folder, isn't it? So ppl can choose to see other lua and *.* files in any subfolders manually then.

Feature request:
-Allow us to only see updateable addons inside the addons list:
Currently at the top right a red rectangle with the number of updateable addons is shown, and in addition at the left the number is shown for each installed game.
Inside the addons list I can see all my installed addons and somewhere in this list of maybe 100+ installed addons (at least QuadroTony said he got more then 100 installed ;-) ) there are 5 addons that can be updated.
You'll have to scroll all the addons to find the 5 that can get updated, to read the changelog etc.

Maybe adding a button, or sort method to the existing sort drop-down, to only show/sort by the updateable addons is a good idea here.

sadly but with last update scrolling in Minion become more horrible

now when you scroll with average or above average speed - you will see all addons need update....

you need scroll only slow now

I copy the bug with the scrolling. The "Updating" label will appear for each addon line all of sudden and then disappear again.

Backup is working for me, and I din't knew that I'M a premium member :-) So my guess is that it works for everyone as it is locally saved on your computer and no cloud data.

Backup should work for Premium & AddOn authors :)

Thanks for the report, we will look into it. We are working on smoother scrolling for windows, some reason java scrolls very nice by default on OSX but not windows. Sorry didn't see this right away, usually looking for new threads for bugs :)

also after last update if you close minion to the tray and w8 for awhile like 30 min - you cannot open it back and need to kill the process

I see a memory issue every time you scroll up and down the list Minion will eventually crash. We are working on this bug and hope to fix really soon.

I believe we fixed the laggy issue with Minion if you want to give 2.1.2-beta a try. We also added the feature that will list addons needing updates to the top.
