Addons Dont Show
Hi,
I have followed the procedure outlined for downloading the Add ons, and copying and pasting them into the correct folder. But when I load up the game they are not there? Anyone else had this issue and is there something i am doing wrong? thanks marc |
Could you please state the steps you have taken to install an addon? Also, could you post a screenshot or give the file path to an addon's .txt file in its addon folder?
|
Same thing happened to me when I tried installing them. I assume it has to do with the new patch?
|
Had same problem
I had put my addons in /live instead of /liveeu |
I too am having this same problem.
Here's the path: C:\Users\Norm\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\ Any ideas? |
Just to clarify, are you on the NA or EU server?
|
North America

Some addons are "out of date" due to the API version being off. In the Add-ons menu in ESO, check the "Load out of date Add-ons" box. See if that loads them for you.
|
Box is checked and downloaded the latest version of Wykkid's Framework. Even tried a couple of other mods, nothing shows. Maybe a corrupt client? I can log in and play just fine, just no mods. :/
|
Do you perhaps have folder-in-folder syndrome? The path should be:
...\elder scrolls online\live\addons\addon folder\addon files <-- this is the correct path Sometimes people extract their files to a new folder, so they end up with: ...\elder scrolls online\live\addons\addon folder\addon folder\addon files <-- this is an incorrect path |
I have the same issue since the latest patch from friday. The installed addons from Minion doesn't work anymore. I read some threads now and I assume they did some changes in the folder structure and you have the put the addon folder/files into:
/live/addons/ for american server /liveeu/addons/ for EU server I didn't have the chance to test this yet, but could anyone confirm this? |
Hi,
i got the same Problem. :( But its little bit wired, on my PC it shows all Addons, but on my Notebook it show only a few Addons. And Yes its the correct Path ;) |
Path isn't the same as listed here
My path is different than what you all have as the default.
D:\Data\Zenimax Online\The Elders Scrolls Online There is no live folder. Where do we load the Addons? Does it matter if we have the digital version? Mine was downloaded during beta and a key used for the Imperial edition. Thanks in advance! |

(My)Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live (for US Megaserver) and/or (My)Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/liveeu (for EU Megaserver) Good luck! |
Big Thank You
Thank you for the clarification! It works great!

So I did everything as was stated in the install instructions and I see nothing. I've checked on the OUT OF DATE box too. I can find this:
C:\Users\< username >\MyDocuments\Elder Scrolls Online\live\ and I did what the instructions said. I was trying to load up Wykkyd's Framework. I even extracted all the files inside the three folders that it comes with and then put them right after this after just putting them in the Addons folder didn't work: C:\Users\< username >\MyDocuments\Elder Scrolls Online\live\Addons If it matters, I have my game on a different drive (D:). Any help would be much appreciated. |
On which Megaserver are you playing? Is it the US server or the EU server?
If you play on the EU server, you have to put the addons into this directory: C:\Users\< username >\MyDocuments\Elder Scrolls Online\liveeu\ (notice the liveeu instead of live) |

Check to make sure you are not using a UNC path to My Documents. Try taking a screenshot and pay attention to where it says the screenshot is saved to. UNC paths will start with a \.

Press your print-screen button. Screenshots go into the screenshots folder, located next to the Addons folder.

I have the same problem. Lootdrop is not showing up in the addon tab on the main character screen in game.

Try this
If you opened the AddOns directory (C:/~Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live~/AddOns) and extracted the add on in that folder, it will probably be in the wrong spot. Many add ons actually put in an additional , unnecessary folder. You'll have to move the next folder down into the ~/AddOns folder. It will be a similar name, if not the same name (most have a version number in the name of the unnecessary folder, and no version number in the name of the folder you need to move).
If what you have is something like: C:/~Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live~/AddOns/addonname x.x.x/addonname/addonname.lua then change it so that it is C:/~Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live~/AddOns/addonname/addonname.lua Thank you Cairenn for pointing this out. |
To clarify, it's not the addons that are doing this, but your extractor and/or method to extract the addons. If you're using the default windows one and you pick "Extract All..." from the right-click menu, a window opens asking you where to put the file. At the end of this file path, is a folder named after the .zip file. Leave that there, the extractor will create a new folder and put the contents of the .zip file in that folder. This is wrong. Don't create new folders. :)
