[bug] Failing to update

I have minion installed to D:\Program Files. When starting it asks to be updated. I click update and it downloads the update to D:\Program%20Files.

Thanks for the additional information! This has helped us track down the problem with program files & minion. We were trying to chase down a UAC issue. We still may have that UAC issue but this needs to get fixed first.

Until we get this fixed I recommend re-installing it in its default location.

Sorry for the trouble and I'll let you know when this is fixed.

This occurs even if you use the default installation path.
When I opened the program, it asked to update.
After the program closed, I had a new C:\Program%20Files%20x86 folder with the Minion files created.

Once I moved the files to the default path, the program no longer prompts for update.

I never changed the installation location and I still get the update message every time I launch minion. Tried re-installing but same thing happens.

If there is a space or a special character in your username the default install location will fail too. We have a fix coming for that soon.

You can uninstall it and re-install it in C:\Minion or something similar and it should not fail the update.

I'll update this thread when the fix is live.

Try un-installing Minion and installing the latest version. We made some bug fixes to the self update. However the only way for you to get this update is to un-install and download the latest from http://minion.mmoui.com. You should now be able to install it in a folder that has spaces without issue.
