Minion won't put addons in right folder, also broke ESO?
Here's a rundown of my experience with the program:
1. changed install directory to d:\documents\minion 2. downloaded mods, ran eso, no mods present 3. checked addons folder, no mods present 4. uninstalled minion, deleted .minion from d:\documents 5. reinstalled minion in default directory 6. checked minion's addons download directory, was writing to d:\documents\documents\eso\live\addons 7. manually removed one of the /documents/ from the line, quit, restarted minion, change did not save 8. used the browser to change the addons directory, quit, restarted minion 9. minion now hangs forever with a loading bar 10. uninstalled minion, deleted users\me\.minion 11. repeated 5-9 Now for the worst part: 12. started ESO, login now hangs at "connecting to server" My users\documents folder is moved at the OS level to d:\documents because I use an SSD, which lots of people do. It looks like Minion gets really confused by this and can't accurately find the addons folder. I don't want to be one of those people who blames all their problems on the last thing they installed, but Minion was literally the only thing I changed in my system that converted my working ESO game into a dead one. What does the program change that could have done this? (deleting my entire live folder, locales, programdata, and repairing installation didn't fix it either) |
Minion shouldn't effect your game one bit. Does the client still hang if you have no addons in the AddOns directory?

Yeah, like I mentioned, there's nothing in the addons folder.
As for the game not letting me log in, it would appear that it's a common issue that a lot of people are having after the patch, which somehow only affects accounts (other people can still log in on my computer and play just fine). |
