Minion frozen on ESOAddons
 

Hi all,

I know this is a common problem and have done my research, but minion always freezes when it tries to load eso addons. I've tried trashing the xml file and rebooting, reinstalling the latest version of minion, etc. but it hasn't fixed itself. Here are my xml and log files:

I'm on a 10.8.5 macbook pro, and the path to the addons is username/Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/Live/Addons . It was working up until a month or so ago. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi elessar13,

Can you leave Minion open for a good 10min and then post the minion0.log? I don't think whatever is tripping it up has timed out for Minion to write the error to the log.

Thanks for your reply, Dolby. I restarted minion and left it open for the last hour, but I don't think the log changed much.

Exact same issue since the first date I installed it. It worked great and updated like 2 addons...then I went into the settings and turned autoupdate on and every time I ran it, it claimed to update DBM to same version every time. This is also broken currently with Cursed addon program I do not know if it is a DMB issue or they re-did their addon or something, but this is all I have changed with this app.

Loaded the app - Logged in - Updated addons just fine

Next day turned on auto update - has not updated any addons and nearly half of them have had updates.

Just sits non-stop on the screen saying

"Loading"
Loading ESO Categories.
Loading ESO addons.
Detecting WOW-2 Installed
Addons

Nothing beyong that, have tried uninstall / reinstall. No luck on my end.

Can you post your minion.xml and minion0.log in a new thread? I think the cause of your problem is different than the OP's.

• go to your applications folder
• open the utilities folder
• find the "terminal" application and open it
• in the terminal type the following: open ~/.minion
• a new folder will open with some files inside.
• attach the minion.xml and minion0.log to a new thread

With no errors its a bit difficult to diagnose the issue. We are working hard on a new version of Minion that has some major bug fixes along with upgrading it to use JRE8. I wanted to release this new version last week but its taking longer than I had planned. So I hope in the next week we will have a release.
