Does it happen all the time? If so...

How far does Minion load before it crashes?

Pease open a terminal (Applications >> Utilities >> Terminal) and type:

Code:

open ~/.minion
Did a window open with some files named minion.xml and minion0.log? If so attach them here please.

Thanks for the report :) I'm running minion on a retina MBP on 10.10 btw.

There is no minion0.log in that folder?

open ~/.minion/minion0.log

Not sure how minion could make the minion.xml with out a log but if thats really true then pleas try deleting your minion config folder so it has to make a new one and restart Minion.

rm -r ~/.minion

Windshadow 10/30/14 08:45 PM

well it did i downloaded a fresh copy and tried again

this time it is running but it seems much slower than i remember it fom last may andit is on a far faster computer than the mid 2009 MacBook Pro i was using then
for example at this point
Initializing Window controls.
Fetching Global Configuration.
Loading WOW game data.
Loading WOW categories.
Loading WOW addons.
Loading ESO game data.
Loading ESO categories.
Loading ESO addons.

it took several minutes and in fact i was wondering if the program had hung and i was at the point of force quitting (no cancel button available at that point in the load process)
note also the WoW stuff even though i had selected only eso in the setup and The only wow files on this new computer would be old backup files on an external drive.

but it is getting the job done now if slowly
