Minion backup
According to the text in minion it should backup saved variables on backup.
well my backup sure doesn't contain any saved variables. The zip files only contains 2 files. AddOnSettings.txt and UserSettings.txt I think minion doesn't handle symbolic folder links in ntfs. (mklink /d). I use that to have my saved variables and addons on my dropbox and thus synced on all my machines. I guess that is a bug as symbolic links are real nice and part of the filesystem. |
If I remmeber right the backup is buggy, there was some other thread in this forum about it already, and will be fixed sometime in the future.
So it might not be related to the links, but just not working (Anymore) for all of us. |

Is the API minion uses open so I could code my own? Or perhaps it is open source in some github repo or so? |

No Baertram, it should be working.
Using the current live version of Minion it's backing up the saved variables for me just fine (see attached picture of zip, and yes if you look inside the folder it lists all the var files)
I have not tested Minion using symbolic folder links on windows (fine with osx using ln -s). If you're able to provide a minion.log with the tasks performed in bullet point 3 that should result in an error that may help us. Thanks! |

The log gives no info whatsoever.
