A special thanks to Garkin

I must say that your help is really greatly appreciated for posting those temp fix on all the broken addons!

Thank you for doing this!

Not only it please us, but it alleviate the job of all the authors's addons that have been bugged by this patch and allow them to work *quietly* to fully correct those.

:)

I fifth this, DEFINITELY.

I'm not an author but an AVID, avid addon user and enthusiast. I can't tell you all the addons that not only Garkin makes himself, but has patched to make work for addons he uses, but I have also seen in many changelogs authors giving thanks to Garkin for his helpful input/insight/fixes in their updates as well.

Thank you so much for keeping the Addon world greased with your goodness.

Sixthed. Garkin not only writes add-ons, and patches non-working add-ons, but helps anyone and everyone else debug their code, and helps new people get started. He is AWESOME.

Im re-bumping this up as again THANK YOU SO MUCH for bringing all these addons up to date with 1.3.3 and helping the community so much :)

unLeashed3k 08/05/14 01:11 PM

Garkin didn't help me at all!!! =)

...but I certainly recognize him as brilliant, helpful, and knowledgeable! ~cheers~

Yes, indeed, thank you. I think well over half the posts (probably much higher) I read, to self-teach myself about this API, has had Garkin as a helpful guide. Good stuff! Boon to this community!

Garkin is the ORACLE of lua as far as I am concerned.
I didn't work with lua for about 15 years, but while playing ESO, some of the addons were getting outdated or even stopped working as the developers stopped working on them. I decided to revive them so we can still use them.
Garkin has helped me a LOT. I sometimes wonder where he gets the time :p

Big Thanks!!!

I would have to make this unanimous, because Garkin has saved my bacon, as well! I also wanted to send a shout out to all the other developers that help us NOOBS:

Garkin =The Lua/Xml hero!!

Circonian = Helped me with my EditBox problem that had me pulling out my hair!! And gonna try out those tags you're talkin about, next time!

Cairenn = Thanks for resizing my picture!! I am still learning this website and how to use the forums properly! (And how did you do that?? LoL!)

merlight = (spelled right? lol) Always has some info that I didn't have before, to help out!!

Thanks, you guys, for making the Lua experience a little better and easier to digest!
And, If you guys ever have time to play the game, hit me up for some in-game gold for your efforts!! Garkin, I know you are EU, so I'll find a way lol!
