Proper sort by level. possible?
 

Hey guys right now there is one addon that can sort items by level
called
Crafting Material Level Display

but it have one issue and i want to help current maintainer to fix it if possible

if i sort items by level from low to high, 1 lvl items will always come after 10 lvl items
no matter what
all other levels are okay and working as intended

any ideas how to fix this?:)

Yes, as said before "find the time to rewrite the sorting code".
Currently I do not have the time nor the will to do so.

If someone wants to try, download the addon and do it.

Well, what I do not like about this post is this hypcritical "i want to help current maintainer" :mad:
It's just about his needs, his ease for the multiboxing or whatever is done with the hundreds of addons and features asked for.

After asking me several times in the addon comments and writing PMs, it took too long or he does not believe what I had reviewed. In the end he creates a forum post so that someone else does the same and fixes what he needs to have (and noone else seems to even notice as problem before) :rolleyes:

I've answered him already that the sorting is done by ZOs code and one needs to rewrite it if it should work by other means.
This is why I thought it would be fair to add this information to this forum post again + the ok for anyone who wants to waste the time again and check and fix this somehow to do so.

i think few brains always better for solving problems like this:D

Not sure what sorting functions are available in ESO, but a good start might be looking up lua sorting functions and whether you need to cast the stored numeric value(it might be stored as a string and not a numeric).


Not looked at the plugin or code, just offering some thoughts.
