Ubuntu 20.04 CTD

Hey everyone,

I've been running ESO without problems for a few weeks but recently needed to reinstall and update to Kernel 5.6 to get my graphics tablet working. With that fixed, naturally something else broke - ESO, which now crashes to the desktop when launched.

-SYSTEM-
Ubuntu 20.04 studio xfce
Linux Kernel 5.6 [only significant variable change, could this be a factor?)
Radeon rx570 8gb
16gb RAM

Python3 is up to date, as are Oracle Java (& open), amdgpu driver, winetricks, several wine environments (I've tried these via all the major players - lutris, winetricks, q4wine, playonlinux). I've tried repairing and reinstalling.

I'm probably missing something obvious as usual.

Also, I've never managed to get Minion to run.

Don't wanna go back to windoze if I can possibly help it but every setup seems to leave a different thing unworkable!

Not sure for ESO, I'd recommand to use the online searches or the official ESO forums for the Ubuntu + ESO problem.
Found this e.g.:

About Minion:
Did you try to search here in the forums for minion linux? I remember there was some thread about some "hints" or updates to get it work by just using the java jar files. You had to install/remove some fonts or change some java settings tomake it work.

Have you tried Proton?

For me Minion only works with proprietary java

https://www.java.com/en/download/linux_manual.jsp

Download it, unpack and run like this /path/to/javafolder/bin/java -jar Minion-jfx.jar

If Minion asks for update where is a trick. Accept update. It will download it and close. Where will be folder "null"
next to Minion-jfx.jar and where will be new Minion-jfx.jar. You can copy new version from where.
