how takeover discontinued addons ?

Hi,
I would like to takeover a Discontinued & Outdated addon .
If I click "Upload Optional Patch" at its file section I'm forwarded to create/upload a new addon.
Is there a way to indeed take over and continue the work under the excisting label?

you could use the report function and tell them you want to take over or write a pn manually to @Dolby or @Caireen

yes, but it is already marked as maintainable by others (presumably because of outdated status) - can Dolby / Caireen free up more than this ?

That is itself the third iteration. Not really any need to continue it as is versus uploading your own.
