Can't Connect to Minion

It works fine after install, but if I close the program out and open it back up I get the following message.

I even tried completely closing out my firewall, which is COMODO Internet Security, with the same results.

I'll have to try COMODO Internet Security and see if there is a way to white list Minion.

There was one other person that was using it and Minion would only work if COMODO was uninstalled because disabling COMODO didn't really disable everything.

I'll get back to you when I find something. :)

Here are my logs. I am assuming that the minion0 file is the log file, as there are no other files besides the XML file and that one.

Yep it looks like something is blocking it from connecting to the internet. Strange that this only happens when you launch it normally and works fine after you install it for the first time.

Code:

Have you tried click clicking on Minion and choosing to run it as admin? Does it work?

Yup. I even ran the installer as admin, which in most programs triggers a prompt from COMODO asking what type of access I want to give it. It doesn't even do that. I even right clicked on the application, go to properties, then to compatibility and check the box to always run it as admin. Still nothing. Also, I have Win 7 64-bit Home Premium.

Ok I installed COMODO internet security. I was able to restart Minion all I wanted with the default settings. I even uninstalled Minion, downloaded it off the website again, re-installed it and restarted Minion many times.

Does anything show up under your network log in Comodo when you launch Minion?
How about blocked intrusions?
Does it list Minion under sandboxed apps? What is the Restriction setting say?

What do your firewall settings look like?

Under "File rating" >> "Unrecognized Files" setting do you see some Minion.exe's there? Can you right click them and make them trusted?

Cydone 08/12/14 06:00 PM

Ah yeah. It was putting it in sandbox mode and being partially limited. Added it to trusted files and is now working as intended. Thanks for the support!!!
