Prevent using Blade of Woe if companion is out?

Has anyone seen an addon that will prevent using the Blade of Woe if you have a companion out? Or know if it's even possible? My searches haven't turned anything up.

Would it be possible to create an addon that removes the pointer for the "For Glory" quest (and just that quest) from the compass bar for those of us who have no desire or intention of ever doing...
