If it was installed correctly you do not need to reinstall it IF you start the installed programm and NOT the seup file!
Do you get any error message at the Minion installation?
Are you sure you start the installed Minion app, and not the installer file?
Check the start menu after installation, if you run it from there.
All that could happen is that Minion tries to update itsself if it finds a newer version,
e.g. you have downloaded Minion 3.0.5 and it installs 3.0.6and 3.0.7 afterwards ONCE.
Also please read the troubleshooting guid of Minion and download and install the 32bit verison of Minion for Windows, not the 64bit version:

-> It will update, after installation, to a newer Minion version once you start Minion (the app, not the installer). You should accept the updates please.
Minion should be satrted via the Startmenu after installation:
Press the WIN key, type Minion and you should see the link/file to start.
If this is the installer/setup file please check, as you install it, where it will be installed, and run the Minion.exe file from there.
Maybe install it to your drive c:\Minion for an easy use and find.
