Are you using a BigFoot Killer Network card perchance? Check the BigFoot Killer Network Manager as I believe it includes a firewall and others have noticed it has blocked Minion communication.
Your logs confirm Minion can't connect to the internet. It can't even grab the font file from our API server. So I'm focusing on things that would prevent Minion from connecting.
