I'm away from my Yosemite machine until next week so I can not test however I remember Minion working just fine for me when beta 4 rolled out. I'll certainly check it out though. We did make some changes to the webview code which is what the description uses to display.
Minion currently hangs on any OSX OS when you close the application using OSX controls. When you use the big X in the upper right corner of the window it should exit fine though. We are currently working on this issue, we had it fixed a few releases ago and some reason this bug showed up again.
Could you also post your minion0.log when you get a chance? If you do the following in a terminal window
cp ~/.minion/minion0.log ~/Desktop
it will copy the log to your desktop so you can easily attach the file.
