It appears that you're sorting dates based on a 12 hour clock but ignoring AM/PM. What this means is that, if I download an update at 07:00, and then again at 14:00 and once more at 21:00, the log (when sorted by date descending) will show as:
04.10.2014 9:00PM
04.10.2014 7:00AM
04.10.2014 2:00PM
This is not correct as 07:00 is before 14:00.
I noticed the auto update is broken, but I can force it to check for updates by switching the 'Automatic AddOn update' off and on again, which led me to find an issue with the sort order.
