Exclamation ESOUI forum post order confusion

Hi all,

I'm super confused by the way posts are displayed on the forums here sometimes. Can anyone explain this to me? See highlighted dates in the image here.

I don't know if I'm being incredibly dense or missing something obvious but as far as I can see, from top to bottom, the posting dates are scrambled.

Transcribed below to make it easier. List numbers match post numbers in the image:
  1. 05/11/2023
  2. 05/11/2023
  3. 05/11/2023
  4. 05/11/2023
  5. 05/11/2023
  6. 14/03/2024 < chronological up to here
  7. 13/01/2024 < now reverse chronological
  8. 14/03/2024 <
  9. 22/03/2024 < chronological again
  10. 26/03/2024
  11. 08/09/2024 ("Yesterday")
  12. 07/11/2023 < now it's reverse chronological?
  13. 07/11/2023

Do I need my eyes checked or is something really off here? Is there a setting I can use to make post order make sense? I've been caught out by it a few times and it's really difficult to follow discussions sometimes - especially when people are figuring out solutions for outdated add-ons.

Please make it make sense.

Could you please post the link to the forum where that order was off, and tell us which page to look at?
Thank you

It was this one - I found the culprit, Display Mode > Hybrid If anyone can explain Hybrid Mode to me I'd appreciate it!

I cnanot find any explanation for that at vBulletin frum documentation, seems it was removed in newer vBulletin versions.
Users wrote it "was easier to follow a conversation in hybrid mode" so I guess, by testing it quickly, it kind of bundles the posts and orders them so you can read may different user posts more easily. Like threaded but somehow different.

Dunno what exactly it does, seems a mixture of linear and threaded mode?
