Offering trial versions of add-ons

Hi,

after the problems that many people had with my last update of the add-on, I would appreciate the option to mark certain uploads as trial. This would imply, that they are not put out as the latest update and thus not automatically installed by say Minion. There would only be a link to the trial version next to the latest version. This way, I could publish the stable versions and allow trials of the upcoming version.

If you use either of our version control repositories, you can tag a push as being a beta version. It'll show up on the 'other files' tab for your addon. Otherwise, that's what the beta download category is for. Just upload your beta version to that category.
