Looking for an addon.

So I am looking for an addon that I can not seem to find. It is an addon that tells you in a tooltip whether or not that item is sold by a vendor. I have looked at a lot of different addons but I can not seem to find it. Is there an addon that does this? If not would someone be kind enough to create an addon that does this?

I think this would help tremendously in cutting down on a lot of the clutter in the stores.

What type of items are you wanting the addon to provide that detail for? There are thousands of items in the game and to build a database for each & every item would be a tremendous undertaking of research.

Oh I did not know it would be that difficult. Basically just showing whether or not it is a vendor sold item. Maybe who sells it. Gathering that data would be too much for anyone to handle?

Keep in mind the majority of cases a vendor sells an item, it's cheaper to obtain it from other players (guild stores). In the case of gear you'd get better quality and cheaper than what you can buy.

In fact, the few items you'd NPC-buy are:
- Some provisioning ingredients for VR5-level food (since don't drop) from grocer
- Repair kits from general merchant (rarely, and many people never buy them)
- White enchants for gear while leveling from enchanter
- Siege equipment and other PvP stuff from those merchants
- Grand soul gems unfilled (as filled generally cost a bit more)
and I really can't think of anything else.

Perhaps a guide might serve better, or if it's in regards to a particular item ask a question in one of the ESO forums or in a PvE guild. (Depending on the item and guild, someone might even give you some free/cheap as most PvE guilds I've been in are very helpful)

Not so much a case of too much to handle, more of a case the resources are already there on the web, for example:
A lot of resource material:
http://www.uesp.net/ (Covers all games in Elder Scrolls Series, games list is on left)
http://tamrielfoundry.com/
http://www.esohead.com/

Grocer Locations:
http://pastebin.com/AMWQSyB2
http://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrolls...oning_vendors/

Maps:
http://esomap.uesp.net/

Another thing is that once you get to know the towns, etc. you will form a pattern of habit by which you will know where particular vendors are and where you want to go for particular items.

For Provisioning ingredients as an example for the above statement, I tend to use The Hollow City in Coldharbour as a base as the grocer is in the 'general goods' store with the fireplace very close by, more or less 'across the square', then add in the bank which is literally right across from the grocer it is a nice little spot to do cooking for me.

For enchanting, I tend to use Riften in The Rift as the enchanting station is right next to the bank, just have to jump that little rock wall.

For general item deconstruction, if you have alot of items to decon then Stormhold in Shadowfen is ideal as the general crafting stations are very close by with the bank just up the road, plus vendors to sell junk/loot you don't need/want.

Hopefully others will chime in and post for their little niches for other factions.

You can easly do this in Riften too as all the crafting stations are located next to the bank and the vendors run around, or stand behind the desk, inside this hall too.

Crafting stations hall -> Bank <- Enchanter

Okay I see. Yeah I will learn what items are sold instead of being lazy. lol I was mainly thinking about new players.

Okay another idea that just barely occurred to me. What about an addon that scans a vendors list and records the location and what items they sell. lol I am kind of brainstorming here. Not really good ides but ideas nonetheless.
