Question Updating your Addon Description without the Addon

Hi,

I could easily test it, but i fear to delete the current file for my addon (or send it to the archives^^) while doing so - so I decided to ask here

How can I update my description, change log etc. without the file?
And without the user is getting a update notice.

Just go update as usual but don't upload a new file or change the version number.

Or you can view your addon's download page and click "Manage Addon" at the top right.

I do that often and because of the same worries I make sure I untick the box that says archive old versions. I leave the file name blank and don't touch the version and name of the addon as already suggested and just edit the description as I need.

Just FYI, it only creates an archive if you upload a new file.
