Error LUA but can not find any addon in it? seems ZOS ?

Game UI froze while attempting to excavatate an antiquities. I lost all control on the game (computer was not freeze at all). No keybinds could works nor the mouse. I had to do ALT F4.

I could saw the incrementation of the error, and tried to use my usual key for that N which opened an empty journal for quests ,,,,

It seems its ZoS but before i would appreciate if better eyes could check.

Open a command prompt (dos window) and navigate to the addons folder. Then type
Code:
"dir /A:D /B > mods.txt"
without quotes of course. Paste the contents of the text file in a post here please.

Okay now. Ignoring the libraries in the bottom sections...

disable some addons.

What you will do is disable half at a time. So say you have 50 actual mods in the addons section. Disable 25 of them. If you have the error still then disable half of the mods you still have activated.

Then if you don't have the error, start enabling some of what you disabled, say 5 at a time. Basically narrow down what causes the error.

I should have been more precise when i posted, and i apologize for that.

When i post on the forums, its always in last resort, after i do this :
-Check if an addon has been updated and i missed it (and still i know i can mess up that lol)
-Check if a not embedded libs have been updated
-Remove from the folder the last addons i added. If the error pops again, then its from the one i had before and then i remove all and i re-add them one by one. (long to do but i do it lol)

If i found the wrong addon and i can resolve the problem (aka forgot to update myself, a .txt is not updated even if the addon was updated, this kind of things i can easily without asking for help)

If i find the wrong addon but its behind my possibilities, then i ask for help on the forums

and as of today, if i can not find what cause the freeze of the UI, i ask for help,

So today, i added one by one the addons into the folder, and could not find any guilty addon.

The last addon i added was: displayleads

----------------
I also did another repair of the game. I checked my computer to verify that there was not a bad install by windows with 2 folders where my save could be done. There was only the new windows feature doing an history sauvegarde of my files and i remove the folder and put that function on OFF as my subsidiary disk was almost full (grr).

And since nothing happened.

-----------------------

But since the patch, there is some strange effects happening. I can have my two accounts working fine for hours and suddenly, one of the account will have a difference on an addon.
Today it was Pchat and Harvestmap.
I had to redo the settings on one part of the addons. If i use the slider to raise the number of an option, then it does not register. But if i manually enter the number i want, then the settings will stay.

No idea why, but since the patch little things like this happens.

------------------
Sorry for the long post, i still did what you asked, and no error were shown.

I removed definitly Jovast as it does not work anymore.

Actually i doubt that an addon would be the cause of that.

I think that with the last patch, ZoS broke something with the UI

I never had until this patch to redo my UI 10 times a day. And this happens with addons which are highly maintened, and not outdated at all

-Pchat
-LUI extended
-Votan Minimap

are the ones actually giving me the most trouble. And i use those since the start (at least since they were created and then maintened)

The day before the patch, not once ih had to redo my settings. Right after the patch it started,

And all this with no error message within Libdebuglogger. (i did in the meantime whitelist the whole folder Live from my antivirus) and i play Eso64.exe in admin mode.

I play, log off, and when i am back, my UI is gone. and no error.

Please just do as I requested. There is nothing wrong with the base game or its source. I would like to try and help but if you keep claiming mods and the base game are broken, and you if you are disininterested in trying what I suggested, then I won't be able to continue to do so.

Even if no error messages appear or any addon is shown in a lua error message it could be that an addon "hooked" into the ZOs code and breaks it.
if it's about leads and your last added addon was something that got to do with leads try to disable this particular addon and try if you are able to reproduce the error.
A good start always is to reproduce the error and write down the steps to any dev is able to reproduce it as well the same way+ fix it then.

If you are not able to use the mouse etc. anymore as the error happens try if pressing the return key at least starts the chat input and type /reloadui and press return. This way, having LibDebugLogger active, will clean your UI again and write the error message to the SavedVars.

Maybe another addon providing a reloadui global keyninding would help you as well. You define e.g. SHIFT+F12 (you need to install the addon EMACS or pChat in order to be able to use the SHIFT/CTRL/ALT keybindings!) to a reloadui and are able to reload the UI then if something happens like the total UI break down.
This addon should help here: https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info...UIKeybind.html
It's outdated and discontinued thus not installable via Minion but it should work properly!

You misunderstood me i explained what i do usually BUT I DID what you asked.

And as i said after i did what you asked, i had no error messages, and my settings where resetted once again.

I spend the night on it.

If you want me to redo it again and again, i will do it. But i what can i do if i have no error showing.

I am willing to do all i can. When i went to sleep i even launched a full scan on my computer. Nothing.

So i will do again what you asked as i see that two of my addons got some changes from their authors.

Yes I can see I did misunderstand, but there was some information that didn't pertain to the question or my suggestion. So may I request, don't speculate or state that moda, modb, and modc, give me the most errors and then explain a other things that don't pertain to anything.

I am not trying to be long winded here but understand, users claim mods cause errors all the time. I have tried to support my own mods when users reported my own mods were broken. In the end some shared their entire addons folder with me and ultimately, when I updated all the mods by just right clicking on each mod in minion and choosing reinstall, I never had errors. Uses have even claimed not to be able to use a way shrine. Mods just don't break things like that.

You listed an error. If the error is gone, then state there is no error any longer. State that you are using the mods you would like to use and just keep your eye out for any future errors.

The procedure I suggested is only to find a possible cause. It isn't a resolution, so I don't expect the steps to have resolved anything.

If updates helped and seem to have changed things then don't worry unless it happens again.
