Addons not appearing in add-on menu

Before you ask, yes I do know the directory that I need to install addons to. My issue is that my addons don't appear in the add-ons menu. I have tried manually installing addons and using minion but neither results in the addons showing up in-game.

The directory my addons are installed to is:
C:\Users\elijd\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns

Unzipped into a self named folder that does not contain spaces and contains a relevant lua and txt file?

Yup, my addon folder is copied from a previous install of eso where they worked.

Ok so turns out my addons directory is actually supposed to be my onedrive documents rather than my user documents. I don't know why the game chose onedrive but at least the problem is solved.

As always: Windows 10 + TESO addons -> Check the forum for windows 10, and you'll find "OneDrive" as the reason

Same issue here with addons not showing ingame.

So, what is the solution? People keep talking about One Drive, but is that where they go now?

Thanks.

If OneDrive is installed it will move your "documents" folder on the OneDrive. Thus the documents/elder scrolls online folder will be in OneDrive too and Minion + the game won't find it.
Just move the folder out again to your local harddrive AND use the forum search here for Windows 10 or win10 and onedrive and you'll find several information and threads.
Ppl just always want the answer at one instead of investing some time to search...

e.g. searched for OneDrive and found this thread. It's so easy:
