Minion, stuck at fetching global config, NO XML FILE.

Alright so as the title says I'm having the same issue a few others are with getting the global config loaded. There's one problem however. I cannot find an XML file where it was said to be in another thread. I've completely uninstalled Minion twice mind you, and yet it is still doing this.

Can you post your minion.xml and minion0.log? They are located in C:\Users\<windows user name>\.minion\

Thanks

Same issue

I have the same issue. Stuck in Fetching Global configuration, and I have no .minion directory I performed a search on the whole file system to be safe. I tried manually creating it but still haven't gotten it working.

Uninstall and re-install don't help either. I really like the app though. I appreciate your hard work.

You have a .minion folder it just might be hidden. What operating system?

If you have multiple hard drives, make sure to check them too. I was searching for ages for the .minion folder on my C drive, then ended up finding it at the root of my E drive.

I guess you didn't read the title where it says I have no XML file, but if the folder is set to hidden automatically then I'll go hunt for it and try deleting that.

Edit: And that folder does not exist whatsoever. Keep in mind, I've uninstalled the program several times by now.

So you are sure you don't have a .minion folder in this location? (Uninstall does not remove these files at the moment)

Not sure how Minion could even get to the loading screen with out a minion.xml in a .minion folder. It shouldn't get past the splash screen with the Logo if that was the case. However if this is the case I'll go to our java programmer and ask him what he thinks.

This is a screenshot of the same folder for me, I have hidden files visible. As you can see, no .minion folder.

Thanks for the picture, you are right. I should ask, where s Minion installed? Default location on C: or some place custom?

I'll have to talk to our java programmer to see what he thinks.

It's installed in the default location, yes. I did put it elsewhere one time I reinstalled it, although the problem was there even before I tried that.

The exact same thing is happening to me. Minion is currently unusable, so I had to remove the config files in order to update most of my AddOns. Went to add/remove some more today and it's just stuck at Loading and "Fetching Global Configuration" again.

Any thoughts on what I can do to fix this besides clearing out my files again?

Can you list what AddOns you normally have installed and attach your minion.xml?

Maybe its an addon that is installed thats tripping up Minion and removing the config makes minion forget about that AddOn until you install it again.
