Updating and addon info

I, like I believe many users of Minion do, simply click on the update button (or use auto-update) when a new version of an addon is out. There is no way to know, short of clicking on each addon first, to notice if the addon is using a different file structure and that old ones should be removed. Would there be any way of adding a message that pops up when hitting the update button to inform us that the old addon folder needs to be removed?

I am wondering if we should just be wipeing the AddOn directory before we unzip the update anyway? Can you think of an issue where that would cause a problem if we did that?

I could think of some things, though I don't think any are an issue at this present moment. Though I would make it an option that is disabled by default, just in case.
