Moved Computers. Been away a year. Restore AddOns from backup or No?

Hi. I'm moving from a MAC to a PC. I can't believe I'm forgotten so much of how this all works.

Is Minion still the recommended way to install AddOns?
Does my ESOUI account show which addons I had installed previously?

I have a folder with backups of my AddOns from 2019. It is on an external hard drive.

Do you guys think I should just start over and reinstall all AddOns ... or have any of you restored your AddOns from a backup?

Thanks for any help and or advice.

Regards.

Yes, very much so, it also will update existing addons.

If you've marked them as favorite then, yes.

Your last question is up to you, I have backups and have used them in the past.

Sometimes some old addons have stopped development, so you'd need to check which ones are current.

Hope this helps you

I'd copy over my addons from anoter backup folder and then use Minion to update them.
But yoo also need to check the dependencies the addons used/use now and install them via Minion to your live/AddOns folder directly so that Minion is able to find and update them in the future.
Remove and libs/ subfolder from your addons in order to let the addons use the live/AddOns/Lib... folders properly. Else they will load the embedded older library versions and most likely fail to work, or throw errors.
