Changing the look of default frames

I have been trying to search for information regarding the default frames. Where can I find documentation on the names of different default controls? IE I want to change the popup that appears when mousing over an item.

Not sure exactly what you are trying to do but I do what you are talking about in my addon InventoryInsight. Maybe it does what you are looking for? Otherwise, you may be able to get an idea about how to proceed from my code?

Agreed, this tool is fantastic. My addons would not exist if it wasn't for Zgoo.
