ESO crash...

it happends in Cyrodiil
often enough

i playing without any problems, getting letters with Reward for Worthy, you know

but sometimes i open mail window and cant delete empty mails, when i push on the mail all gold and items automatically claimed, is because of bug i believe
but ok when i push "Take all mails" or "take one" or trying to take mails by hands - nothing happends after confirmation dialog about - "Do you really want delete this mail?" i Push "E"(yes) the empty mails still remains


AND WHEN I SEE I CANT DELETE MAIL - THIS IS A DETECTION OF CRASH
IF I TRY / reloadui - I WILL GOT CRASH...


1. when i disable all addons, no crash, but i still cannot delete mails without any addons active
2. it happends after i update ny FilterIt and JunkIt addon. but looks like they are not guilty... IDK

1) i turn off filterIt - crashes gone(all other addons remains)
2) i enable filterit but turn off JunkIt - crashes gone too
3) i turn on both addons - crash(with all active addons too)
4) i turn OFF all addons, except FilterIt and JunkIt - NO CRASH, WTf?
5) i turn off all addons except this two, and i start turn on all other addons one by one.. but its not help,
6) for example i turn-on alot of addons and all was fine after every /reloadui, till i turn ON Item Saver. OK.
7) i OFF all except filterIt+JunkIt+ItemSaver to prove the incompatibility, but NO CRASH!
8) and the same with many more addons too, so i cant figure out the source of conflict/ mby its just game bug or smthing

please help....

No, what I meant was that I've never seen an option anywhere in the game that would:
"mail all gold and items automatically claimed"
So are you using some addon that has that option?
Or
Is this just some game option somewhere that I've never seen?

If you can not delete a mail with no addon enabled, the bug must be in build-in script.

After deleting a mail the EVENT_MAIL_INBOX_UPDATE event is triggered.
One of the registered handlers updates the in-box (Suprising )
Another handler updates the list of recent interactions from the mails left in the box.

But being in Cyrodiil you have a lot other interactions too, I guess.
Maybe there are names breaking the system?
The list of recent interactions is saved on /reloadui. This may causes the crash.

But if this is true, the crash must be gone once the game is restarted. Except this special name is near to you or in your in-box?

Just guessing.

like this issue caused by addons, but when i turn them off issue still remains? because ofthis scripts

Well possible,

but I think we should remain on the effect, that you can not delete a mail even without an addon.
The only saved variable, which will be loaded, is ZO_Ingame.lua. And your mail in-box is still the same.

Disable all addons.
And before your open your mail, type this in your chat window:

/script EVENT_MANAGER:UnregisterForEvent("AutoComplete", EVENT_MAIL_INBOX_UPDATE)

Can your delete those mails now?

ok i will try when i meet this bug again. i still cannot reproduce it, its just randome, 1 per few hours

Votan, by any chance do you think this could have something to do with the Research Library we were talking about that's using ZO_Ingame_SavedVariables?

I just put it into both FitlerIt & JunkIt. But If he can't delete mail without any addons turned on, I know the "ZO_Ingame_SavedVariables" is still loading, but I don't see what harm those LibNeed4ResearchVars could be causing, they would just be unused since the addons are turned off....just thought it might be worth mentioning.

The only other thing I can think of at the moment is if some addon is trying to mail stuff & the items are getting blocked (not mailed) by FilterIt because you have those items marked....but yet the OTHER addon keeps trying to send them in an infinite loop. Could very likely cause a crash eventually.

Edit: Oh but then I forgot you said you had trouble deleting mail even with all addons turned off..hm

also when you in Cyrodil hirelings mails dont arrive until you relog in the game, and sometimes i getting notification at the chat window about one new mail (number "1") but mail window empty

its just game bugs , but mby they connected somehow with initial problem

i just installed the latest junkit last night and now when i try to log in to my crafter toon the game crashes immediatly. this charcter is the only one who gets mail(from the hireling). Log in with my other characters is fine.

No, there are no long strings, their all very very short. The only thing stored in there is:

i deleted junkit from the addon folder and was able to login with my crafter so that leads me to think theres something there.
With junkit i had weapon trait materials "junked" and game crashed when logging into my crafter after removing Junkit i was able to log in to that character and i had mail (from the hireling, that only shows up on that particular toon) that had weapon trait attachments. could that be the conflict?

I think, we have two types of errors here.
The one of TribeofOne could be pinpoint to JunkIt, while the one of QuadroTony occurs without any addon.
From a developers point of view Czenia has an interesting empty recent interaction name:
[""] = 1419425031,
which is "impossible", because players and chars must have a name. There does it come from?!?
And one with a comma, but if this a Zo_Ingame.lua without crash ... I don't know.

The only lengthy thing is the KnownRecipeTable list with localized names.

I did not use JunkIt or FilterIt before.
FilterIt optical conflicts with Advanced Filter and "protects" me from adding reagents to the alchemy crafting station.

for now i have crashes with Atlas addon enabled.
first when im trying to use Transitus Shrine
everytime!
however with Atlas addon only i cant reproduce the crash, must be smthing else
i disable this addon and continue playing
now im trying to reproduce - i turn ON Atlas again and got crahs after reloadui
and now i cant start game with this addon - crash at loadscreen
weird, this addon didnt updated long time ago. and i have valid version

will test more


and i have deleted characters. mby they still present in ZO_ingame file?

No idea where that empty interaction came from. The post you sent though said it refered to strings larger than 2048 characters, the strings in the recipe table are no where near that.

The deleted characters would just be ignored though, just like the research library so there is no reason they would cause any harm.
I will look at Atlas as soon as I get a chance....I'm still away with family, but at the very least I will be home in a few days & we will get to the bottom of this.
