Compass pins "tooltips"

I used to use Wykkyd's toolbar which apparently had this side feature of adding text tooltips over compass pins.
Is anyone aware of any other addon doing this? I really miss this feature.

I'm pretty sure the base game does this. Unless I'm thinking of something else. Can you elaborate?

Vanilla game only shows a text above the compass if you got the compass pin centered:


I'm unsure why Wykkyds toolbar shoud add something to the compass though as it is not connected, are you sure this was the addon adding tooltips?

I couldn't come up with a better name than a tooltip.

I also couldn't find any relevant setting in the game's settings so I thought an addon must had done that, especially since I don't see the text at all, and the only thing I changed recently was uninstalling the Wykkyd addon.
Can you point me where it is? I must be blind.

First you should clarify "what you mean by tooltip" please, as we still are not sure what you mean
Did you mean the centered text above the compass, shown at my 1st screenshot as text "Welkwurz"?

I do not know any setting for that. I'd disable all addons and try without them if it is shown. Maybe some addon disables it for you.
Normally it should show if you change the view into the direction so it get's centered at the compass.

Ok I have no idea what exactly happened there, but I found setting in Azurah that hides the text "tooltip".
I haven't touched that addon for two years, so I can only assume Wykkyd somehow kept it enabled.

Either way, problem solved.
